Looking at its placement and length, pretty sure the final track is less-vocal version of the mysterious Track 2.

Khara nigouki reminisce about the first showing of 2.0 on Milano theater, they said it was full of applause and cheering after the end roll. It does sound like the exact opposite from the stories I've heard about 3.0's premiere where everyone was left in utter silence after the Shin preview ends before someone shouts "Nani kore?!"

This was not the premiere, at that point the movie was already out for around 2 weeks.

That won't happen until months after the theatrical release. The Japanese theatrical film market is shockingly doing quite well right now considering world events with the Demon Slayer movie about to surpass Spirited Away as the highest grossing Japanese film of all time. It did this during a pandemic.

Japan isn't the US and isn't run by Warner Brothers. There is no reason to expect the film, in Japan at least, will deviate from the usual schedule for a theatrical release. Theaters first. Then a few months later will go to home video.

I don't want to crush any hopes, but I think it's worth reminding that 3.0 taking 5 months to come out on bluray was the fastest Rebuild release. I think 2.0 took almost a year?

I used to take that as a thing they just got better at, with 3.0 coming out much faster. But if you look at how Toho releases blurays... Weathering With You took almost a year. Promare took 8 months. I'm not saying it'll be like this with Eva (I don't know if Toho even has say on distribution beyond the cinema release) but it's good to know at least.

Good thing is Weathering set a good standard (I hope it'll be a standard) by coming with English subs.

My wishful thinking is the film coming in july, where I might have some down time. That'd be six months.

Are you also gonna try to stay spoiler free till the BD comes? Same here lol.

I was thinking the same thing! I don't want to obsessive-compulsively check torrent sites every night, but at the same time I don't want to hold out until the Blu-Ray is released several months from now. A thread like that would be a good resource until I can finally watch the movie and discuss it in the spoiler area.
