Apparently, or obviously the JP twitter was also left wondering about Ogata's aforementioned screaming in her tweet to the point it got more traction than usual so she had to make additional tweets about it today. (Check out that like and RT numbers!)

Summary of her tweet:
- She didn't scream all the time, so don't worry.
- The CG wasn't finished yet during previous recordings and she couldn't do adlib for battle scenes because of that, so most of it was done at the end of recording (which was yesterday).
- She also did a few retakes yesterday due to rewrites.
- Responding to those who doubt whether the film can be finished on time or not, Ogata said that production was going smoothly and in-track for June release, until the Corona hits and cinemas are closed everywhere, so they had to readjust.

Not quite a news but Ogata's latest tweet might provides a small bit of context about the screams since it mentions something about a battle scene from yesterday's recording.

Rebuild's story won't be "Angry Shonen protag action destroys the world until it doesn't". Action in some way wouldn't surprise me. But it's probably not what we expect.

They're really pursuing a high-concept ambitious approach there with the performance, leaving the MC for last and doing even small rewrites from the looks of it as that performance evovolves.

The guts to say that they will USE the extra time is some Misato-grade bold project management.

Some people assumed the movie could be delayed again because of the sound effects still being added being a sign of production problems, but it seems that indeed they were just improving the movie further. Seems to echo what that one animator mentioned about re-animating some scene with Asuka or something.

My boy here already looked a lot more stable and (Vergil's voice) motivated in this one shot than in the entirety of End of Eva. If Manga!Shinji could save Asuka and beat all those MP Evas by himself without getting into berserk mode, I'm scared of what NTE!Shinji could actually do once he realised what he's truly capable of.

November's still not over yet and the film won't come out until (hopefully) late January, so I've never particularly worried about this. If they had the guts to set a new release date, I'm sure they have considered everything, like the deadlines etc.

Hope dies last. But it dies. Anyway, don't say I didn't warn you beforehand. Shin will be an emotional gutpunch; maybe not as heavy as EoE, but happiness will not be the primary emotion there.

How are you so sure? I don’t think we can say anything about the tone of the movie just yet, all we’ve seen in the trailers is action. Anno said beforehand that he would go out of his way to avoid an overly dark or confusing ending in the remake movies, and if he couldn’t fulfill his promise to make the remakes better than the original show he could at least give us that.

I wonder if Sagisu already got told by Anno about how the NTE ends and wrote Peaceful Times, which was used in all Shin Eva trailers up until now to reflect the ending (I do know that it was recorded in 2009, during 2.0's sessions).

The second part of the song does get a bit darker with "through sacrifice, children can play in a world without a care" but it ends triumphantly, well, sort of. Unless there's a diabolical twist about the definition of "peace" in the lyrics.

Looking back and comparing the previous movies, 3.33 definitely felt the least consistent in the animation department. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks amazing, just more wobbly moment to moment due to (what I presume) a bit more haphazard quality control, than the previous two movies (which might be a reflection of Anno's deteriorating mental space).
Again, not to knock the movie, I think the more unpolished feel fits the movie well!

Why I'm saying this tho, is that Shin Evangelion already had a much longer time to develop inside Anno's mind and outside, than most of his other projects so far,
so maybe this is a fine wine situation we're having here... with a movie ripened and polished, giving us the closest version of the movie in Anno's mind.
(or it's spoilt for sitting too long, who knows, lol)
