That's why I asked on Twitter if somebody took the time to watch each screening, if there's any differences between the screenings as rumored Though I'm assuming that's not the case, but I certainly hope the 2 hour runtime rumor's true!

Anyways, I'm guessing this means they're committed to next summer for a release. Very least I'm not expecting it until 2021.

So why are they taking it so long? I mean just say it, it's okay. Why continuing to keep it as a secret when clearly it isn't?

I don't think it's much as a secret as this pandemic has screwed so many things sideways, by announcing a theatrical release date now—when it could be pushed back all over again—that would lead to further fan frustration, you know? Best for them to wait and see when things are calm again. But they very well might be revealing the new date quite soon (within the month? In September?) as their Tweets yesterday seemed to imply.

Like new member Pluto who's living in Japan mentioned here post/897222/ , there's plenty of marketing for the film despite no clear release date just yet.

The Paris screening was very, very dark compared to the screenings in Japan. It was an older build because it flew with Ogata to Paris 1 or 2 days before the screening, while the build showed in Japan was more recent.

Supposedly there's an error of some sort in the production booklet for 3.33? I have my copy and I'm looking through (King Records says it's on page 5) and I don't know what exactly the problem is.

I've been stalking twitter about it, but so far no one's posted anything juicy from it.

I think it's pretty safe to say there was no big reveal it it, like a new release date, if that info hasn't spread like wildfire already.

They’ve created a logo and will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION on October 4th. Let the speculation of an announcement maybe coinciding begin.
