I wanna see Eva Unit 01 use the Wunder AAA as a mech-suit and just start wailing on Nerv with it. I mean, it makes sense in my brain. The Eva Unit becomes the pilot of a much larger, more powerful weapon. (Yui and Rei II would be "piloting" Unit 01, obviously.)

Gendo turns out to be a hero: his goal to kill God has the purpose of deleting all God-like influence from Earth and freeing humanity from their control, allowing the human race to forge its own path without the ancient pact that Seele commited humanity to live under.

Perhaps placing Eva01/Shinji into that space will allow a human to become God, placing an understanding deity over mankind rather than an unfeeling alien God. Perhaps Yui will take the responsibility herself and send Shinji back to Earth to live out his life; the last sacrifice of a mother for her son. Or perhaps, in the end, Gendo will upload himself into Eva01 (or use another Eva) to free both Yui and Shinji, allowing them to live a life that he would never be able to live anyway.

Just saw 3.33 tonight again with some buddies, and one minor thing I would like to see is Mari explaining why the hell she thought it was a good idea to let go of Eva-13 instead of holding on to it and letting Wille recover it, preventing the possibilities of future impacts. But I guess then we wouldn't get a 4th movie.

Eva-08 was being turned into core by 13. Mari had to let go ASAP.
