EVA-303: Chapter 22 ONLINE NOW!

Right now, I'm pacing myself hoping to coincide the final chapters with the release of the last Re-Build movie. Over the years of working on this comic I have observed that the time around the release of a Re-Build movie is one of great activity in the fandom. Everyone is coming to places like this, DA, Pixiv etc. looking to share or see fan art. This period typically lasts from the release of the first trailers until the release of the film on US DVD. That can be many months. During that time, I plan to crank out the last few chapters of EVA-303.

Good thing Khara is also releasing the first 10 minutes of 3.0+1.0 in just 8 days, too. This oughta bring even more attention.

Just popping by to say hi and announce that 2020 is probably the final year of EVA-303 production. And to celebrate I got my first new Asuka pic done in quite a while. First new art of any kind now that I think of it. It's been a long dry spell. I'll try to have it posted by tonight.

Chapter 22 is going to be a beast though. Could be the largest chapter of the comic in terms of page count. Or not. It depends on whether or not I break things down into 'compartments' called "more chapters". I've sketched out the final chapters of the comic according to major plot points/moments. I'm not trying to budget myself on time here (one chapter every 2 months etc.). Just what will be will be. I'll know better how long it will take for chapter 22 as I work my way through it. Chapter 22 covers the actual battle that everything has been leading up to.

Well it's taken a few tries, but I've finally settled into a system for organizing the chapter and I think I'm gonna fit it all in rather than divide 22 into 2 different chapters.

So excited because some of the COOLEST most HEART-RENDING scenes in the ENTIRE comic are coming up in this chapter!!

The others are coming up in Chapter 23

I can tell you that we DO find out what Seele's plan is in this chapter. It's appropriately horrifying.

So yeah- Smackjeeves took a big giant crap in its pants and just like that old man rambling in the corner, it knows not who it is or who we are anymore.

In laymen's terms they completely redesigned the website and took away almost all the convenient features we authors depended on.

GOOD NEWS- EVA-303 has already found a new home for online archiving! It is Comic Fury. So in celebration of the

I am spending this week going back and re-uploading the entire comic (so far) to the new site. When I have chapters up, just for the heck of it, I will link here (and remove the Smackdweebs link in my signature) when the chaps go up.

I apologize once again to everyone! This year has not been what we expected. The impact of COVID on the comic is easy to see; with kids in the house full time there's just not much time to think comic. Normally, getting the kids to bed early for school has been the sweet spot for EVA-303. I grab 2-3 hours a night to work on the comic that way. With no more school, kids are staying up late every night and before you know it, I'm not thinking EVA anymore. :/

I drifted into other hobbies that I could do while the kids are out and about. Will be wrapping up two construction projects within the next couple of weeks. I will re-assign myself after that. Start with sketches, wake people up, stuff like that!

I will do my best!

Funny how I completely wasted the Covid downtime. But anyway I caught myself daydreaming about the end of EVA-303 yesterday. I think I'll try re-reading the comic this week.

JUST A HEAD'S UP so people know exactly what is going on.

Someone at ComicFury didn't care that the characters are 21 in my comic and the whole thing got deleted. I am currently looking for new home(s) for the comic on the web, from Tapas to E-Hentai, to even creating my own website for the comic. Even returning to ComicFury at a lower profile, or possibly only including the SFW versions of the chapters there, with links to the NSFW downloads at the end of the chapters.

The comic is [NOT] dead, and in fact I have been gearing up in the last couple of weeks for Chapter 22 production! This is just a huge hassle that has several easy solutions, some difficult solutions and I just need to pick one. Or two. Or three.

This next week is gonna be very busy in terms of moving the comic. I will be posting updates as they come along.

On a side note, I have a notification that Arcadia's Legacy replied to this thread today but I can't see it. Did you delete it or am I doing something wrong?

It seems quite official now but after eleven whole YEARS, EVA-303 is finally getting its own website!

I have hooked up with a person savvy in making websites, and we have reserved a domain name and begun the process that may take up to two weeks.

It will feature a cover page leading to a main page with buttons for each chapter. Click the button and go to a scroll-down vertical page with each page of that chapter displayed clearly. Finally extra buttons on the main page take you to a fan service gallery and news page with updates on the comic.

Glad to hear that, so sorry it got pulled from your other place as it was marked 18 and the characters are aged up so I don't get what the issue was.
