This is a really quick ink and conte sketch I made for EM before I left for Germany... it's not the best, but I thought I would share.

Given that Asuka's hors de combat while Kaworu was around, they have an up-hill struggle in anything like canon - but with all the other pairings around in fan works, they are surprisingly rarely paired up. I like them as a couple, even if a brief and tragic romance.

I like that you've not just done them anime-style.

Shivers just ran up and down my spine... :? I'm glad that Anno didn't involve that relationship.

What would be a more appropriate pairing would be Toji and Kaworu, if he wanted to put in another relationship, or better yet Gendo and Kaworu. :lol:

Those symbols on the left of the picture (shivers)... are those German or ancient Hungarian runes? I can hardly make a difference, since A: I don't have a single full ABC in my mind B: There are hundreds of ancient Hungarian runes C: They look quite similar.

More like, she would reject all of his attempts to get close to her, but instead of having the usual effect of making her wonder why no one will stay with her, Kaworu realizes what she is doing and will continue to try to get with her. It's an endless cycle of... uh... what was I talking about again?
