To me, it's just a generic horror movie with sexual themes thrown in. Definitely not worth ten dollars and two hours of my life any day of the week. Maybe it's because I'm not much for horror movies, but this seems to be another example of the present lack of creativity and new ideas in the film and television broadcasting industries - recycling the same crap from a decade or two ago, remaking the same videos, etc.

Yeah, the previews alone looked cruddy, like a bad attempt at a vampire/succubus movie (a succubus movie would be interesting to see, but only if the concept was in the right hands).

Based on the previews I figured it would look incredibly cheesy. When this one girl in the preview said "I thought you only kill boys!" and then Fox replied with "I go both ways." I went to the conclusion that this film was going to blow.

Some friends went to see it and I had nothing better to do, so I went with them. Honestly, I was surprised at how much fun I had! Jennifer's Body was hysterical, and not in a so-bad-it's-good-way either. More like it was a comedy movie pretending to be a horror movie. I admit, I never saw Juno, so I can't compare, but this Diablo Cody woman can write teen dialogue very well. I swear, the chicks in this movie sounded just like all the stupid teenage girls I know, only when they were trying to be witty, they actually did it. And because I'm a faggot, I couldn't even enjoy the hot piece of ass bouncing around on screen, so don't think that that softened me up or anything. (Although I the lead singer of that Emo band is pure sex to me.) As for Megan Fox, she was decent. I got the impression that she was pretty much playing herself, what with her character being a self-entitled, prissy bitch and all, but that didn't bother me. I don't hate Megan Fox, but I do think she's overrated. But all the other actors in the movie did a great job, the main character and her boyfriend were both great, the one scene of her mom was also very memorable, and the guy who played the teacher is a total show stealer (I don't remember his name, but I'm fairly sure that he's the same guy who played J.J. in Spider Man).
Bottom line: Generic plot, but a lot of fun and some surprisingly decent acting. Nothing great, but the writing is it's biggest strength.
