Evangelion on adultswim is a bastardization of the series. True, toonami was good in its first few years with all the action anime(and shoujo). But then came all the kiddie shows.

For getting me into Anime, chicks that are hotter than the ones in real life, giant kick ass robots(eventually leading me to eva), Gundam etc.

but they didn't censor it as badly as Scifi does with their anime, or the jackarsery of censoring out Pen^2 among other things during that Robot Week on Toonami years ago

Guys, while Toonami as we know it may be gone, 4Chan is planning to make its own Toonami. Streaming video, programming blocks, all the old classic shows plus some new ones that never got shown. They're redesigning Tom, Sara, making a new canon, new bumps, and they're trying to get other boards on the internet to help them. I say all us Toonami fans help them bring back the good old days.

Geez, about time. I gave up on Toonami years ago, ever since they switched from Gundam to stuff like Ben 10 and Blue Dragon.

That was the most surreal event ever. I was going through channels and then all of a sudden I stop by toonami. Tom comes on and says toonami's over. I was all what in the name of the abyss?! Anyway I had fond memories of toonami (Gundam, Tenchi Muyo ect.) it'll be missed...

I never even watched Toonami. We didn't even get cable channels when I was still young enough to appreciate TV, and, by the time we did, I was all, "Hell with that."

Toonami was what first introduced me to anime.
Gundam Wing was my fav.

The first anime show I ever saw was Speed Racer. Before Toonami was on. I like how the live action movie is more like "Speed" Racer.
