Episode was much better then expected. Also, more Derpy is a definite plus.

I thought it was very meh. This should have been at least a 2-parter... way, way too rushed. Also too much singing... it's nice now and then to have a song just to freshen things up, but so many in one episode was drastic overkill.

Also I know the show is really just a commercial to sell lame toys despite whatever else it's qualities might be, but episodes like this stink of executive meddling. Last season's finale did too of course, but was much better handled.

I dunno, this was by far the weakest season finale imo, first half was alright but the second half was meh.

Felt kind of the same way about this season as a whole really, it had its moments like the too many pinkies episode which was really good, but overall it just felt a lot weaker then season 2 or even season 1.

Will they be able to overcome all odds and find a way to make season four better while not jumping over any sharks? We'll see.

It was much better then expected in the sense that I expected a complete train wreck and was pleasantly surprised by what I actually got.

I'd agree the season wasn't on par with the first two though, far more misses then hits this time around. But it's not much of a surprise when you consider the season was much shorter then it was originally intended to be. Season four should get things back on track, provided Hasbro keeps their hands off it that is.

Well, well... seems like the big corps blocked the vid.
But yes, we've done it... and from what I've seen, it's... actually not that bad of a Japanese Dub (except for Applejack. They couldn't make her act southern... or at least get a better one! :ehh:

)
(note: has only seen bits of first episode just to see how close they sound to the original. Has no plans to see this in Japanese syndication regularly. Why I saw it in the first place? Because everyone else is taking this Japanese Dub a bit more seriously than any other language dub! Thanks, Japanese Animation Fandom!)
As for the opening, Holy rainbows, Batman, is it better than what Hasbro officially made!

I would assume they gave her a Kansai accent like Toji, since that seems the commonly used equivalent used elsewhere for 'southernness' in translation to Japanese.

Was she in a crowd shot? Didn't spot her much in Season 3.

I liked Season 3 but I'm not sure what to think of Episode 13. We'll see how it goes, I guess.
