I'm currently watching Hannibal, just finished the second season and now starting the second. It is a really good and engrossing show! I want to watch the rest of it in one whole sitting so I can join in all the conversations about the show without being spoiled but I honestly don't think I can. If I binge watch it, I'm afraid I'll miss out on all the great, but subtle designs of the show. And watching one horrific murder after another is giving me heart palpitations.

Mad Men Season 1 is far superior to Mad Men Season 2

3 is supposed to be the best of the early seasons. I may start it in a month or so after I watch some other stuff.

It's only been 4 days and I'm almost halfway into season two of 24. On one hand, I'm glad I'll have a series to occupy myself with for the rest of summer (202 episodes takes a long time to burn through, even when marathoning) but unfortunately its providing quite a distraction from my online upgrading courses.

LONGMIRE SEASON 3____https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO-ZrF2HJjY
this show has aways been very good no question, but i kinda felt... lesser than say justified.
that changed with season 2's end, which had like 3 urgent cliffhangers in the last 5 minutes.
and season 3 has not slowed down at all, tugging at strings and fallout from all 3 events.
we are only 5 episodes in and this season has already produced the several of best episodes of the entire series so far.
the ENTIRE cast is just phenomenal, while justified season by season seems to more focus on the rogues gallery, this show focuses on the allies.
if your considering watching this show, i suggest reading this, tis all true.
http://oneofus.net/2014/06/the-top-5-reasons-you-should-be-watching-longmire/
Peter Weller's character has mostly been used for semi comedy relief in past appearances, in the most recent episode, id say it was the most badass ive seen him sense the original robocop, and he is OLLLLLD on this show lol, they must have aged him up cus he looks 10 times as old as he did in star trek into darkness, great interaction between him and the lead.
faint hints of the supernatural this season that i like a lot.
Highly Recommended! but be sure to start from the beginning.

THE LAST SHIP
____https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gZ6bpIjeLs
this is pure grade-a millitary porn, and its awesome
the technical stuff, the action and set peices are all big BIG budget movie grade.
the cast is good, but i would not say great.
scene where the nuke goes off in the first episode is pretty suspenseful.
the show has not yet gone hard in the the virus or the symptoms of it, which would turn some people off (i used to be the type)
IMO it never went in to propaganda territory.
only 2 episodes in so i don't have too much to say just yet.
Recommended!

CONSTANTINE [the leaked pilot episode]____https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPE2oBnzROY
i have never read hellblazer, my experience with john constantine is confined to his role in dc's recent trinity war crossover, and the controversial 2005 film (which i liked a great deal), i liked keanu, but Matt Ryan has far more range and emotion in the role.
the supporting cast all seems very good.
special effects are ok to very good.

Watched the Constantine pilot. Surpassed my expectations (although I had set them low to avoid disappointment). A solid 7/10, I'll definitely be following it when it airs in October.

Also finished season 2 of 24. It's my goal to be caught up to Live Another Day by the end of August.

Caught the first couple episodes of The Leftovers today and... why are people interested in this show again? 2% of the world just disappears one day for no apparent reason. Great, and then what? Well, apparently nothing. That's it. Thing happens and people deal, sort of, or not at all in some cases.

I just don't get it. Clearly I'm missing something.

So I started watching The X-Files again.

What was it that I liked about this show again? Or really anybody liked about it? Its boring almost non-stop. Just barely entertaining enough to keep watching.

Well, the older you get, the harder it is to be entertained. Also, back then when the X-Files aired, overall quality of TV-productions was much lower.

Finished the fourth season of Justified tonight. While I personally didn't think it was as strong as some of the previous seasons, it picked up the pace as it went along and is still top-notch television. Looking forward to Season 5.

Here's how I rank what I've seen: 2, 3, 1, 4

I'm into six episodes (more precisely, it's been a very long time since the last time I actually watched an American TV show, despite the GoT hype), and all the sudden I was reminded more of those Aubrey-Maturin naval sagas than the Brinkley novel that the show was based on: more powerful and cunning antagonists, seemingly unstable crew-members vulnerable to mutiny, and unexpected twists and turns.

And with some science dropped in, does the show also faintly remind you of Star Trek?

Despite that the show has Michael Bay as its executive producer, that doesn't faze me from watching.

The first several episodes were engrossing because of the added elements of government conspiracy, but then as expected once material began to run out by... I think by the second or third season it becomes hard to watch.

i think the x-files is absolutely great all the way to the last 2-3 seasons and even there, i think there is some still pretty good stories and character moments.
there is a episode with this guy from the 1800s getting revenge every generation on the people that killed him, thats absolutely chilling, it felt like a precursor for hannibal.

Sadly, I could not watch the X-files during it's original run. As the show scared me shittless
as a kid. Now I can watch it without having nightmares! :D

don't feel bad last time I watched it I couldn't make it past the first season because I got freaked out by the episode with the bugs that only came out at dark that ate people alive. Then again I was only eight.

speaking of the X-files I finally finished the first season and started season two. Season one definitely got better after episode 16. Season two is interesting, only two in though.

I thought X-Files was decent up through about season 5. It had a good mix of conspiracy episodes and standalones (these also being a good mix of mystery, horror, and comedy) that kept me entertained right up until they pulled a switcheroo on the main cast and then I simply could not give a shit. Without that Dana/Fox chemistry it just wasn't fun.

I liked X-Files until I realized it would never deliver. At that point I completely lost interest.
