"OK, I sure as hell hope you've got a good plan up your sleeve!" Replies Touji.

Then the Sensei finds you.

"Mnk...What are you doing in here? And why have you got that pile of wood over there?...Ngn..."

You think fast. What could you say?

"We...umm...we..."

"...Yes?..."

Then an idea comes.

"We're from the Education Authority. The, uh, wood in this building has been judged, um, unsatisfactory"

Rei joins in. "We are removing it for further testing to ensure the safety of the students, and definitely not to make into a pirate ship to look for treasure"

You sincerely hope that Sensei won't notice the oddly specific denial.

"See, we have...umm, badges!" Kensuke grins from ear to ear as he brandishes 4 pieces of cardboard made to look like government badges.

Sensei looks for a second.

"Mmm...I see...In that case...mnk...I'll let you get on with it...I'm going home...Bloody kids, running the government all of a sudden...Grrnn...I swear I've seen them before..."

He then promptly falls asleep on the spot.

You look at Kensuke and his badges. "I never knew you were skilled at forgery!"

He shrugs. "Heh, I'm nothing to scream about. This is what the badges actually look like now thanks to the budget cuts"

"Don't put yourself down, you saved our skins! Nice job!"

"Hey!" Touji cuffs you round the head. "Don't forget about Rei! She did a superb job of bluffing!"

"Thank you, Touji" Rei smiles. "Now to continue with our hunt for booty"

You all then proceed to put Sensei in the bush outside.

You finish loading the wood from the classroom onto the skip. You then proceed down the corridor, looking for the next room to pillage. You stop outside the music room. For some reason, you can hear the faint sounds of beautiful violin music drifting from the room.

Kensuke shudders. "A ghost! A ghost! There's a ghost in there guarding the wood!"

"Shinji, I suggest avoiding this room, as it appears to contain a spectral entity of some description" Rei informs you, her fear leaving her struggling to remain in character.

"Y-you're right. Maybe...we should check out a different room..." you tell your companions, you teeth chattering.

Touji, however, seems unfazed.

"That isn't a ghost...I recognize that music from somewhere...The tone and tempo remind me of something..."

"The Death and Rebirth DVD menu?" Rei suggests, her normally stoic character crumbling at the prospect of a malicious spirit armed with an instrument which is akin to a form of torture if played badly.

"Yeah, that too, but I swear I can tell who's playing in there..." Touji seems unusually pensive.

You put your eye up to the frosted window. It's hard to make out, but there appears to be a female figure seated on the chair, playing the violin.

"It doesn't look like a ghost...They normally glow" you tell them, drawing on your knowledge of Misato's terrible horror movie collection.

"We have to find out who it is!" Touji declares.

You think. He may have a point. The question is, which way to approach it, in case it is someone hostile?

1: Just open the door gently,
2: Pry up the floorboards and go under the room to spy on the mysterious figure from beneath without attracting her attention,
3: Bash the door open in a manly and savage manner, with a battle cry,
Or 4: Ask who's there?

You decide it is the best idea to simply open the door. After all, we don't want to startle whoever's in there.

You slowly creak open the door. You look in, and sitting in the chair, gently playing the violin...

...Is Hikari.

"...Oh! Hikari! I didn't expect to see you here at this time in the night!" you blurt.

"Well, nobody else was here, so I thought I'd practice playing my violin. How are you?"

Suddenly you are barged out of the way by a teary eyed Touji.

"HIKARI!"

Hikari's expression immediately lights up. "Touji? I thought you were dead!"

The 2 run towards each other and embrace, sobbing with happiness.

You, Kensuke, Rei, and the audience all let out a collective "D'aaaawwwwww..."

When the 2 have stopped hugging each other, Hikari looks at you.

"So, what are you doing here?"

"Ah" you sheepishly say. "We are...Um...Well..."

"We are here to requisition wood in order to build a land capable pirate ship with which to search for treasure" interrupts Rei. "Would you like to join us on our quest for booty, me hearty?"

Hikari looks confused for a second. Then she smiles.

"Of course! Sounds like fun!"

You all cheer with a triumphant "ARRRR!"

"So, where should we get wood from next?" asks Kensuke.

"Hmmm....I need to think about that..." you say pensively.

What do you do?

1: Use the wood from the floor, desks and instruments in this room, maybe it will make your ship musical!
2:Leave those poor instruments alone! Take the wood from everything in this room except the instruments.
3: Head to the wood shop room, where better to find wood?
4: Venture into the long since abandoned kitchen to see if there's anything useful in there? You might find some yogurt you could use as glue!
