Kaoru Kozue confirmed as new waifu, or at least konkyubain.
...
Vvovv that word looks really strange, like some kind of Türkic. I spelled it right though, so...?

And Asuka is 14 yet plenty of people will claim the same with her so I dont think that matters much.

I think it speaks to the amount of anime that I've been watching lately that I only recognized four of those names, and out of those have only watched two of the anime that they appear in. Even out of those, I've only finished one of them. I've not been watching all that much anime lately, and have perhaps as a result lost my former interest in claiming a waifu. I remember Rei was my first waifu back when I was interested in the idea, but I don't remember who I progressed through for the next several years. I know I ended with *Mute, a character from a visual novel. Haven't picked one up since, though. Obviously I should be watching more anime to rectify the situation, but those two BA degrees aren't going to earn themselves.

Story of my life (except s/those two BA degrees/that MS degree). I recognized only 5.

Also 13, and just as creepy.

As to the list: good grief Japan, if you're gonna waifu at least pick someone interesting.

Isn't 13 legal in some parts of Japan?

If so, maybe we could go back to the good 'ol days, when everyone died at forty and women were wed at thirteen to burly men-at-arms of twenty.

Oh, looking around on google, apparently it's Japan and some parts of Africa that the age of consent is specifically 13. Neat.

Virtually everywhere in Japan has local laws that impose higher limits; the oft-quoted 13 thing isn't really how it is.

It's anime. The rules are different.

Back to the spirit of the topic?

I really like Mamimi (FLCL) as she shares my sentiment on the idea of living and the dire need to be saved after being terribly hurt... although knowing well that'll never happen, Mari seems fun to be around (NTE), Tycho Science (Diebuster) I can relate to, and OMG Tanaka from Sound! Euphonium is best girl.

So is this thread for male waifus too?

I'd like to throw in Kaworu, obviously. But I like him more for his abstract rendition of unconditional love - even if it brings my ruin.
Kaji on the other hand makes my hole feel empty and ready for entry.
I think Toji might become a pretty hot doofus as well.

I'll wait until they add more variety. Only three waifus to choose from, and none of them are in my anime harem.
