MY WISHES OVER THEIR AIRSPACE (what does that even mean)

Love and Rock, Love and Rock, Peace!

MAKUROSS! MAKUROSS!

And while the ED animation was kinda boring, ending the first episode of Macross Frontier with Do You Remember Love? was pretty fucking awesome.

I daresay you weren't missing much. Seed was basically the worst Gundam ever until Destiny came along.

For ED's that are better than their OP's, top of the list for me is the two for Outlaw Star.

Hiru no Tsuki
and
Tsuki no le

The Hiru one is actually my favorite ED out there.

Thats kinda ironic, to me the only and i mean the ONLY good thing that came out of Gundam Seed was the first Op. That was a pretty good song...speaking of Gundam openings.

Gonna have to dissagree on the Code Geass ED's there, i found the ali project ED's to be very bland, and they sounded so simmilar aswell. For me this is the only half decent Code Geass ED: Mosaic Kakera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg9bgmauG8E

The one currently stuck in my head is the ED for Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto ~Natsu no Sora~; the OP is pretty catchy, too.

Hmmm didn't post here yet did I? Well these are my favorite anime openings in order.

for firstor first is the Re: Cutie honey op

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uJWDdNEirg

Second place goes to jungle final

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8I9HNrwxbJU

Third place goes to the op for the original guyver 1980's oav

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1JL7WJdroA

The other Hare + Guu openings tie for fourth

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDLUr2zKB3w
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHOJ4YRJdmc

Read or Die takes fifth

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH0zsABQiaQ

Goku Zetsubo sensei, visually probably the best of the bunch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu7UAl5dX-c

Noir takes 7th

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRTrgBP7I4s

Evengelion takes 8th

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgATlhZFAfs

Deathnote 2nd op takes 9th, at first I thought "Damn this music sucks" but the visuals in this are just so amazing it just works despite the questionable music, visually 2nd only to goku zetsubo sensei. Probably couldve been #1 if it had good music. But the fact that the questionable music actually works for it I think says a lot. Also it sounds like their saying "What's up smells like pie"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXdI61WgTno

urusei yatsura op 2 takes 10th

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlt3V7x-32A

Dokuro chan takes 11, I don't care what anyone says, this was a damn funny opening

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ELRZ08hNaU

lucky star takes 12, it sounds like they say "I buy some things"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViEH57xQu1c

Original Lodoss wars takes 13

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L_Z6ZCs ... re=related

Iria Zeiram the animation takes 14

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0aU9v4LtHk

Later ill post my fave endings

I loved the Blue Drop OP, (the end not so much).
I also have been known to enjoy the Spice and Wolf, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, both GITS and TTGL OPs.

However, though it is a movie so might not count, the Origin: Spirts of the Past OP is my favorite (though the rest of the movie was pretty meh).

Higurashi, but that's already been mentioned. Why they didn't keep it for the second series, I don't know.

Kaworu/Asuka - give it a chance!

I've enjoyed just about every Bleach OP and ED, except friggin' Happy People... ugh. But my fave opening from Bleach was TONIGHT TONIGHT TONIGHT. That made the Bounto arc tolerable to me :P

FMA had some great tunes throughout its run.

Gundam Wing, at least the Toonami ED. Rockin' guitar solo, man. Rockin'.

The original Hellsing's ED, Shine. I mean come on, it's Mr. Big!

And yeah, Cowboy Bebop. OP is awesome, ED is Real Folk Blues, the one they should have used in the last episode instead of the "expanded" version imo.

Honey & Clover OP gets major points for uniqueness, and genuinely catching me off guard the first time I watched it.

Welcome to the NHK was very nice as well. I didn't watch much of the series, though.

I'm very surprised that Haibane Renmei's OP hasn't gotten a single mention in this thread. Do people who like Evangelion not watch Haibane Renmei? That's sad. It's the best anime ever made, in my opinion. I think a lot of people on here would like it, too.

In my opinion, Haibane Renmei's OP is one of anime's finest. No saccharine J-pop song or anything like that, just an incredibly beautiful instrumental. The first time I saw that OP, I just knew that I was in for something different.

Haibane Renmei OP

The rest of the soundtrack is pretty much just as beautiful, by the way, and in much the same style. It goes without saying that I also think Haibane Renmei has one of the best soundtracks in anime. Ko Otani is amazing.
A person...is a shadow which we can never penetrate, of which there can be no such thing as direct knowledge, with respect to which we form countless beliefs, based upon words and sometimes actions, neither of which can give us anything but inadequate and as it proves contradictory information-a shadow behind which we can alternately imagine, with equal justification, that there burns the flame of hatred and of love.
-Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time
