Awesome.

You mean the monthly shoujo manga magazine? I guess it does seem a little weird that they'd name-drop a magazine from a completely unrelated publisher.

Doesn't look like Aria at all in the screencap

It doesn´t look like anything in the screencap.

It only says "ARIA"

It doesn't look like the "ARIA" from the magazine either, except the ARIA manga doesn't come in that form factor (I own a few of the Japanese ARIA tankoubons). That's a serial size. Also, I haven't watched the most recent episode of Musume yet, but aren't they in a grocery store (where usually only serials and magazines get sold)?

Name-dropping doesn´t have to make sense.

It´s like the sunken GAINAX building in the very first panel of the NGE manga or tthe Citröen shirts Shinji wears.

The thing here is that we are not buying your argument that that's Aria reference

Ah, it was just a wild guess, to be honest.
Maybe it was the roman characters or something.

MM! 05: Woah, holy shit, this episode was so much better than the last one. Completely silly, nonsensical and hilarious. And I can't help but smile like a retard whenever there are DBZ references, and when he ascended into SUPER MASOCHIST mode I lol'd.

Also pic from the new OP:

That lady in the left corner looks familiar eh?

I suppose Yuko Miyamura voiced one of the characters this episode, but I'm not sure who to be honest. Not the new character that's for sure.

Finally got to watch Shiki. So far I'd have to say it's the best horror anime I've come across in a long time. If you like horror that takes itself seriously then this is a show you can't miss.

Time to give Lucky Star another try. Now on episode two.

The humor is hit-or-miss so far. There are some good, relatable moments that give off the whole "oh, yeah, I know what you mean" vibe, along with a few hilarious gags, but other times it can be very...euh. .__. Would "awkward" be the right word for it? That's how I feel about the majority of the shout-outs.

I'm not a fan of Konata, though that sentiment could change over the course of the show.

The farther into the show you get the better it is. It's better when they add in all of the other characters. I still haven't finished the series. I've been holding off episodes 23, 24, and the OVA.

Star Driver 05: :facepalm:/10

Worst episode yet easily. meh. And they keep reusing the same animation for those start of battle sequences. Should of at least made it more inspiring if they planned to use it so many times.

OreImo better not disappoint :fistshake:

I started watching Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru today. All I can say is why did they make the one girl look like she could cut down a forest with her teeth? Also the "grandma" is pretty much a dude? That's enough to make me stop watching right there but the animation's very well done so I shall continue.

I watch Lucky Star for the Lucky Channel segments. They ought to make that into its own show.

Finished Blue Drop a few days ago. It was alright. The ending wasn't as Gonzo-ish as I was expecting with such an oddly hodge-podged plot, but it was enjoyable enough, I guess. I don't think it has much replay value, though. For the amount of time it focused on the characters, it didn't do a very good job at giving much reason to care about any of them. As a result, its narrative came off as being something that could probably have been placed in the context of something larger, but since there IS no 'something larger', it remains just this small story of about a cluster of girls at a boarding school with aliens thrown in.

Started Mahoromatic today, currently three episodes in. I don't think there are enough tits in this show. More fanservice could greatly improve it.

The Railgun OVA was fun, despite being basically just another stand alone (slightly-extended) episode of the series. Rest of the Fall season has been proceeding smoothly as well. At this point, it doesn't look like I'll be dropping anything.
