Ah, animation errors. Truly, anime would be dull without you.

Basically, post your favourite anime QUALITY moments here.

Post images in spoilers, for the sake of tidiness and the inherent humour of opening an amusingly titled spoiler to reveal a silly picture.

For those not in the know, QUALITY refers to extremely poor animation, be it due to layering errors, time/budget restraints, poor remastering, or the animators just declaring "Fuck this!" and half-arsing the job.

I'm not seeing. Would I have to have seen Serial Experiments Lain to know how they're supposed to look to understand what's missing?

I see it now, but I could only make it out with the non-thumbnail version. I think the assertion that it stands out blatantly in the thumbnail version is false, because what's visible there could be easily mistaken for what's missing at such tiny size and resolution.

I wonder if, on the hypothetical of someone that works in the animation industry joining this forum and finding this thread, it would be understandable on their part to feel offended.

But then you also have the overseas subcontractors, whose QA differs wildly from outstanding to downright shitty.

You have these QUALITY issues -- unlike their Western counterparts -- because most of these studios have to beat fixed deadlines or cost themselves a season, even if it means cutting corners.

That is some of the worst art I have ever seen in a VN. I have no idea how this became so acclaimed. It looks even worse than Aku no Hana.
