Man that episode was so good. So much hype when Iori henshined, then even more hype when Mako got her bancho 2 star uniform back. I'm also so happy the elite four are going to get their uniforms back I can't wait to see blade regalia again

This episode was perfect. Perfect.

Best part was Iori being a boss. That hidden third star made my jaw drop.

I also like the fact that they brought back the other two stars. I was wondering if they'd ever make an appearance again. Most of the fanbase thought they might but as we drew closer to the end I had my doubts. That and fight club Mako? Good to see Trigger looking out.

All in all, this episode was leaps and bounds better than the two previous.
It's difficult in times like these; ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality.
It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical.
Yet I cling to them because I believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.

I loved how the tension managed to build throughout the entire episode, and then even spiked through the roof at the end! I think we've reached the point in that funky chart that I made before where the energy is just going to build until this ends in episode 24.

That actually makes me wonder what a Sailor Moon x Kill la Kill crossover would be like. I can imagine Usagi standing in front of Ragyo and saying "In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!"

EDIT: Or maybe a longer version of the same...
USAGI: Hold it right there! Ragyo Kiryuin, using your elder daughter as your puppet, throwing another away after unethical experimentation, creating an artificial human grown in a life-fiber womb, ordering the murder of your own husband, creating an army of sentient human-absorbing clothing and preparing to enslave the earth and the whole human race and convert the planet into a ball of life fibers! Unforgivable! Sailor-suited Pretty Solider of Love and Justice : Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!

RAGYO: La vie est juste drole! *Evil laughter*

I've got to say that the high school setting leaves an insane amount of crossover potential with a whole lot of other series. Just imagine Gamagori and the Disciplinary Committee knocking down the door to Nebukawa no Sensei's class and scaring him and all the members of Class-2A!

Damn it...I've got like six fanfic ideas crossing over two or three of Eva/KLK/TTGL and can't decide what to write down!

Enormous Stream of Gushing  SPOILER: Show
BEST. EPISODE. EVER.

Seriously, this episode was quite possibly the best, most uplifting thing I have ever watched. Let us list the ways in which this episode was based:

1: Ryuuko wipes Nui's smile off her stupid face, permanently.
2: Nui is brutally disarmed.
3: Nui is now a shuddering wreck.
4: Nui is now completing Shinra Koketsu with her teeth.
5: Nui is probably going to be deaded by Ragyo.
6: Nui appears to be in genuine pain.
7: Satsuki delivers the most badass apology in history.
8: SISTERLY BONDING
9: MYSTERY CROQUETTES
10: TEA
11: Iori has a Goku uniform, and it's awesome!
12: The 2-stars that Ryuuko defeated are still alive! (I can only hope Maiko is going to return...)
13: RETURN OF BANCHO MAKO
14: Ryuuko and Satsuki are now both duel-wielding.
15: Junketsu is tamed at last.
16: This upcoming battle is going to be based beyond belief.

So yeah. In short, the pinnacle of human culture.

Anime- nay, TV- no, Humanity is saved.

I only watched a few episodes but I have to ask, is Kill la Kill a satire or just a really good shonen series?

Both. Possibly.

In any case, it is the greatest work of fiction ever written and should be taught in schools.

Realistically I don't think canon sailor moon would do very well in this universe for one big reason. Sailor moon has no melee attacks! All she can do is shoot those beams out of her sceptor and if the enemy dodges and gets in close, and give how mad speedy everyone in klk is, you know this will happen, after that it'd probably just be a one hit K-O. However its klk sailormoon from that fanart things will probably go better.

I know people here on this forum (or just about any anime forum) more or less tolerate the fanservice but is it just fanservice or is it making some sort of statement about fanservice in general?

Probably wouldn't work in Japanese, unless they have some word for "weapon" that is a homonym of their word for arm.

My Kanji isn't good enough (read: does not exist) to make distinctions of that kind. IO might know, though.

Oh, by the way, in the preview, it looks like the Coning tower of the Academy is opening up. Perhaps that is where the Shinra-Koketsu will make its appearance. Also, the Generals get their uniforms back! ^_^

She seems to have pulled some crazy sword-things out of the Original Life Fiber as well, and fights both her daughters at the same time. This should be fun...
