i'm thinking satsuki recovers and wields the purple scissor blade in the tag team fight against ragyo.
Episode 19 can't come soon enough.

Quoting this from Fireball so I don't have to reupload it myself. Thank you for having this posted here and ready.

My mind is now blown, I just realized all three of them have near-identical features in this drawing. And Ryuko's hair is doing the Ragyo-esque wing spread again (although it might just be the wind).

Trigger, you magnificent bastards, you tried to tell us. You tried to warn us!

According to Seele, Tang is the ultimate form of life. I guess that means the astronauts are committing genocide all the time then.

Satsuki doesn't have any of that weird light under her hair at any time in the series. Perhaps it's because she's not fused with Life Fibers.

They explicitly state that the experiment on her as a child failed. Satsuki has no Life Fibers in her, period. Which kind of implies to me that from this point on she'll be unable to keep up with Ryuko in terms of combat skill.

But equally, having come so far she can hardly not remain in the front line at this stage.

She could have latent life fiber powers from the experiment - she glows after all. By pure sword skill she is already superior to every character in the show. All she needs is the other scissor half and synch with her Kamui. Then they can go together after the cunt's head.

Man I'll really have to see when Kill La Kill wraps up but so far I think I love it a hair more than Gurren.

So far they've managed the trick of keeping the tempo and the insanity going on and on a la TTGL, so they had better come up with a way to keep it going for the remaining eight episodes. If this is going to ratchet up level by level like spiral energy, the ending will have to be something spectacular so as not to be disappointment.

Only 6 episodes remain + some OVA in September

Going by the preview the next episode seems a bit of a downer. I get the impression that there is somewhat of a timeskip involved.

I suppose that those guys we see fighting the COVERS are the 1000 North-Kanto Coalition founded by Sanageyama and mentioned in the Newtype magazine.

By the way, do we know if Kahara will be involved in others episodes? They did the second part of episode 18, no?

In case the feels get too much for a Monday, here's an alternate view:
SPOILER: Show
Image

CC Aside: We'd better hope that Ryuko really is Satsuki's sister, otherwise poor S-sama's going to get really beat down when the truth comes out. Good thing Urobutcher's not writing this eh?

Ultimate Feels Ending
Ryuko isn't really Satsuki's little sister because reasons, and only Ryuko knows (everyone else is KO'd during the big reveal). However she realizes that Satsuki would be totally destroyed to find this out, so she goes along with the pretence, even though Satsuki can be a PITA bossy older sister (insists Ryuko does all her school work, makes her do tea ceremony etc.). But every year Ryuko sneaks out of the mansion and goes and puts flowers on a little nameless gravestone in the cemetery.

Ultimate Feels Ending Deleted Yuri Scenes
Pretending to be Satsuki's sister isn't so bad. Ryuko keeps engineering situations where she walks in while Satsuki's changing, suggesting they have baths together etc. As a result she's in an almost constant state of fountaining nosebleed. Satsuki has no idea what's going on, and thinks that it's some side-effect of wearing Senketsu.
Do not throw souls!

^I find it hilarious how satsuki's stuffed toy in that pic resembles Nui.

It's this stuff that makes me really want to re-watch from episode 1. Again get HYPE!

Also, I finally figured out who Souichirou reminds me of.

^ Episode 1 was truly great, I actually think it was the pinnacle of the first cour, second cour has set the bar even higher though.

Those comics. Y'know, I really love it when the artists and cartoon artists get their hands on this stuff. More often than not, it's hilarious. And holy crap, they really are playing Blumenkranz!

I have yet to watch Kill La Kill.

By this point I should just wait until it's done and then binge watch it.

That's what I was thinking, but I crumbled last week. Of course, now I have the interminable weekly wait! It's the first time I've watched any series which I couldn't choose my own pace for (apart from Rebuild, of course!!).

It'd be well worth the wait if you have the resolve. If I'd known how good this series is, I would've waited. Waiting week by week for new episodes has been a huge disruption in my life.

Half the fun is watching it weekly with others and the rampant speculah/analysing that follows.
