Super Fumina is getting a model kit:

http://gundamguy.blogspot.nl/2015/08/hg ... chara.html

This is the first Bandai Gundam Girl model kit since the 1980s...and fortunately it doesn't look like those looked (= kit that looks nothing like the illustration on the box).

So I've finally figured out what music is best to listen to while rewatching Gundam Seed and maybe Seed Destiny: The Cure. There is just something about watching two good friends fight each other set to depressing songs about lost but unforgotten loves. ^_^ For Seed Destiny the pace of the series is a bit off (still my most major complaint about Seed Destiny, together with TOO MANY RECAPS).

Destiny seems better than last time I watched it; I get the impression it is because I can now understand Athrun's position better (due to some unfortunate personal experiences). The strange thing is that although Destiny has its fair share of extremely brutal events (colony drop, Destroys, Shinn's actions, heavy plant collisions), the emotional impact of those events is much less than in Seed proper.

Although I'm always left with a set of unfortunate questions after watching the show(s):
- So, Kira/Cagalli, did you have any impure thoughts about the other before you discovered you were brother and sister?
- So, Athrun, ever disturbed by your best friend having an intimate relationship with your ex-fiancé?
- So, Cagalli, are you sure it was a good idea to tell Meyrin to look after Athrun when you're absent, considering Athrun seems to attract the ladies' attention like some less delicate objects attract flies?

Out of boredom, I started watching AGE. Currently at episode 30. My opinion so far:

ASEMU/ROMARY FOREVER. :heart::heart::heart:

She's like the Gundam version of Mana Kirishima, I swear.
Strategic Cyborg Evangelion : an average author's aspiring attempt at awesomeness. Currently at chapter 42.

Ah, okay then. It's not just their appearance that's similar. Their personalities also gave off similar vibes.

Some people argued with me that she's just too flat but I think that's not necessarily a bad thing. God knows Shinji could've used a girlfriend who isn't caught up in all that crap to preserve his sanity and Gundam protagonists aren't much different in that regard.

It appears that IBO will be streamed at the same time as Japan. The amazing thing is it's on so may platforms.

Just found out Gundam Origins part 1 has been out for months. :slowpoke:

In my defense, this thread is the only place I check for Gundam related stuff and there was little fuss about it here.

There were ads and commercials all over the place for it when it got released. And not only in anime-related sites.

Saw episode 1 of Iron Blooded Orphans a little while ago and i gotta say, it's WAY easier to follow than the clusterfuck mess that was Reconguista.

Mikazuki has a little bit of stoic in him for not wanting to shake Kudelia's hand which is something i'm sure they'll make a big deal out of somewhere along the way but it's not hyper level stoic as say Setsuna from 00. Given the crappy treatment the adults give the kid soldiers, it's little wonder Orga masterfully conspires with Biscuit to give their bedeviled leaders the shaft.

Also, i didn't expect at all the random bit of fanservice with the female protesters in bikinis with their messages written in the tummy region.

All in all, i'm sticking with this series through thick and thin and i don't think i'll be disappointed!

Wasn't sure how much I would like this one based on the previews, but after Ep 1 my hype levels are rising to maximum! Strong start
I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever
