Thanks Reichu. I knew he was the character designer for the show, but I wasn't completely sure. I wonder if that book can still be found.

Gundam Try Fighters 21

This battle was good, it tarnished Gunpla academy's "invincible" vibe, but rebuilt them as a opponent who can bounce back even when faced with adversity, and was perhaps the first episode in the series where the strategy employed actually sucked me in.

I'm actually just a bit disappointed that they didn't go all the way, and had the Euro Champ win, as they actually made it so that even if he had won the duel, he would have lost the match, and it would still have been gunpla academy Seikei and the rest would have to face. But that's not really a con, just a choice, and there may still be fallout from how close this match was, and the fact that fangs-guy was damaged.
