Upon rewatching Zeta and ZZ I'm disappointed by how little Haman has in the way of redeeming qualities. For some reason I remembered her as a more sympathetic antagonist instead of the clear-cut megalomaniac she is.

The Gundam movies are some of the better compilation movies you'll see out there. I still personally prefer the series and would recommend going that route if you think you have the time to work through 43 episodes. There's the occasional slow stretch, but its never slow for more than a few episodes and you'll get some better character development and a sense of what the White Base crew is going through by watching the TV show. Down side is you'll see lots of transformation and docking sequences. :P The compilation movies do have some very nice music pieces you won't find in the series though (although I heard they re-edited their placement on the most recent DVDs).
