*Demand's (Diamond), Tellu's, and Seiyuu/Star Fighter's seiyuu passed on several years ago. Some of the composers and Seramyu actresses have too.
I'm looking forward to this new series, and excited that it is a manga retelling (fans were saying as much since 2012). I hope it'll have a few original aspects too, as long as it's not depressing like parts of PGSM live action were (no spoilers from me if you haven't seen it).
Isn't Michie Tomizawa in semi-retirement? If I know Toei, they'll do anything to get the Sailor Senshi back together. It would be the Sailor Moon without Keiko Han as Luna, Aya Hisakawa as Ami, Michie Tomizawa as Rei, Emi Shinohara as Makoto, Rica Fukami as Minako, Kae Araeki as Chibiusa, Setsuna and Hotaru's and Michiru's seiyuus either. And especially not Megumi Ogata as Haruka. It wouldn't be Sailor Moon without them. Plus, I love Mitsuishi and Furuya.

That's just depressing. Especially the ones that died in their 20s. Rest in peace, and may you sing for love and justice in the afterlife.

We got more info. Highlights include the composer of Fairy Tail/Naruto Shippūden and the guys who gave us the artstyle for Gatchaman Crowds.

At least they're revealing the details of who's working on what. Don't have much other thoughts, but the art style of that Mononoke show looks strange.
People on the ANN forums seem to like the selected composer at least. I would have been fine with the same composer from the PGSM live action show. *shrug*

This should be better than any (dashed) hopes of a Beatles reunion. It's been quite a very long time since the last episode... and yes, they could add in some new blood.

Honestly, I think the worst case scenario with the new series is a direct copy/paste of the manga. Even if that happens, as long as the emotional impact is kept in tact, I'd be happy.
I'd be fine with new elements (like in the PGSM tokusatsu) as long as it's not something like:

PGSM SPOILER: Show
adding Sailor Luna (who I guess was meant to fill the void of Chibiusa) but the idea felt silly more than effective, IMO.

I noticed on my favourite anime streaming site (AnimeUltima) they seem to have the original series, S and R, but none of the movies, no SuperS and no Stars. I wonder why they're missing and where I can watch them? I know Stars was never officially released in the West because the censors had a hissyfit about the boyband who turn into girls to fight evil, but I assume it's been fansubbed given the huge fanbase Sailor Moon has in the West...

I don't think it's encouraged to discuss means of obtaining/watching anime illegally on this site.
I also don't think that crunchyroll has any sailor moon stuff.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to update the thread title to correct the release date of the anime.
I've looked at the stuff our new art directors, Takashi Kurahashi and Yumi Hosaka, worked on and I'm actually very excited. It looks like they worked on a variety of shows and the fact that they worked on Mononoke and Kyousogiga leads me to have complete faith in them.
I'm not sold on Yukie Sako as the character designer but I'm sure the art directors will prevent the use of not so great character designs.
As long as something this doesn't happen, I might be ok.
Probably what I'm most worried about is the story. Yūji Kobayashi is in charge of scripts, but honestly I have no idea what that job entails. However, the fact that most of the stuff he/she worked on was Pretty Cure, that doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence. I've been watching some Precure stuff and I think it's pretty shit.

Apparently there's a timer floating around the internet for something Sailor Moon related that, as of today, read "8 Days".
Shin Evangelion brought me back, five long years later.
