Does anyone know where I can find a good photoshop tutorial? I'm getting sick of trying to color this damn thing the wrong way? I specificly need to learn how to use layers!

I'm not even sure if Photoshop is all that great for coloring stuff. I have no concept of what's actually out there. Like I said, for me, it's familiar, so it saves me the trouble of having to learn something new to do something as unimportant as coloring in line drawings for, like, avatars and stuff.

Well, okay. In some cases, they're actually MY drawings (e.g., Akira-san), so maybe I'd benefit from learning to use software that's actually, y'know, tailored specifically for that sort of thing.

But tutorials, you ask? Doesn't Photoshop come with those? I recall learning most of what I know just by "f*cking around", but that's not very efficient time-wise. I have to take off soon*, but if there's still a need later, I'll take a look around for "something good". I ought to repost some of the horrifying results of that coloration method, too. (Shinji with wrench, two-faced Sachiel-Gendo, etc.)

I think she looks better then some of her offical depictions (within the animation)

Very nice- only complaint is that the edges of people's hair looks weird for some reason.

Well, just because things have been really boring for the past couple of days, I guess I'll start unleashing some g00d33z. I got the first six Collector's Discs recently*, and these are chock-full of beautious, high-res images. You see some of them scattered over the Internets, oftentimes in crappy-tized form. But who needs those when you can have the originals, my precious?

Shin-seiki posted the first disc a while back. I don't know how many people got it, but I'll start with Disc 2, just because. I'll be dishing it in four installments of ~12.5 MB each. Here's the first one. "Use GetRight or DIE!"

Good I'm hoping for some hawt grumpy old cyborg action! Or at least some Rei chibis....or some monoliths, monoliths are nice. I'm going to work on making a colorized chibi Keel avatar this weekend.
