Seele erotica is far more wrong than Eva erotica. Evas are actually eroticized on-screen at least twice. I personally think there is at least one other, but you have to let your mind go to some pretty strange places. Well, that's no problem for me; my mind was already there to begin with. That's one of the reasons I love this show.

Eh. I'll try to explain it in an essay eventually, since I think one of my nagging preoccupations, the Return to the Primitive, may actually be a real theme in the show after all. I even took the phrase from an NGE tie-in song -- "Heart! Return to the Primitive (State)" (Kokoro yo genshi ni modore) when I began to explore it in BES and I needed a name for it.
