As true as that probably is, I honestly don't give a damn what people want to see.

Truly though, I have full confidence that an Evangelion movie with a truer ending would do better than one that strays from the ideas of the originals. It's not like
everyone is just looking for a "Disney ending." After all, there are intelligent people out there, and Evangelion the anime series is one of the most popular anime ever in America, so there's got to be a market for endings like that.
