From episode 21.Hope everyone here known why this episode was so important but that beside the point
Fuyutsuki state
''It was generally believed that the real object of his overtures to Yui was her talent and support of the organization backing her.According to the rumors, that organization was called SEELE.''
That what he state word for word.

dictionary.com defines love as

1.A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities,or a sense of underlying oneness.

2. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.

3.
a.Sexual passion.
b. Sexual intercourse.
c. A love affair.

4. An intense emotional attachment, as for a pet or treasured
object.

5. A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.

6. An expression of one's affection: Send him my love.

7.
a.A strong predilection or enthusiasm: a love of language.
b.The object of such an enthusiasm: The outdoors is her greatest love.

8.Love Mythology. Eros or Cupid.
9. often Love Christianity. Charity.
10. Sports. A zero score in tennis.

also: just a suggestion to clear things up- when one is being saracstic it's best to do something to notify others of the sarcasm, for example I use tags:

[SARCASM] anyone who doesn't like eva is an idiot [/Sarcasm]

Not very useful. Dictionaries are terrible for this sort of thing. Especially that 2nd definition... which seems to saying that Love is a culturally visible form of lust Image

As far as being oneness... this is rocky ground. You are yourself. You can never be anybody but. So how can love exist then?

IMO oneness was a poor choice of words- you can never be truly one with anyone but yourself. However, I believe love represents the closest two people can get to eachother and still mantain their individuality.

Dictionaries are just information about a certain word

Good point. But what IS this closeness? Knowing each other's patterns? Liking each others hobbies, having the same taste?

I suppose closeness could be defined as a spiritual symbiotic dependence on eachother.

Is love just a spiritual matter then? What about the physical?

Symbiotic dependence is usually an occurence to cover up certain defects in an individuals life. I guess this would mean that part of love is admitting that you are not complete by yourself...
