Where is Mari from?
I was wondering, Mari seems to speak fluent english and her surname is german and english though she knows Kaji who is american. Just where is she from, does anyone know?

Mari's nationality is still something of a puzzle, even though her middle name suggests she's part British. I don't know if anything about her nationality is hinted at in the movie itself.
