Cheesy, but I admit I like the idea, to an extent. Also, I agree with SaltyJoe.

Though, I still strongly agree with the fan speculation that Eva-08 is a revamped Eva-01 but we'll have to wait until we get some information out about Q...

Started good but ended cheezy.

I think a "happy" ending does not have to be cheezy at all.

But maybe im just seeing things

That actually sounds pretty badass. But what of Mari and Rei?

The way I was thinking about it is the shifting alliances angle. Asuka having to choose between friendship and her career as a pilot. The "battlefield confession" bit belongs in a doujin, I agree, but in my mind it's not remarkably cheesier than the "GRAB MY HAND!" at the end of 2.0.

I was under the impression that every human character already had a sex.

I think, that all the Nerv employee is going to be arrested and are put on trail. the interviews will disclose many secrets and will bring new insights into the past. (hopefully it's a "new" past, that is NOT the past from the tv-series).

while Asuka recovers we will get glimpses of her past to, AND since Shinji and Rei are trapped in unit 1 there'll be some nice surrelastic scenes concerning those two.

while all those intresting things will come to light, the main story goes on. i imagine the first half like this: one scene concerning shinjirei, scene in reality, another scene in asukas head... bla bla bla...

so while all those charakters finally get some background an angel attacks, which kaworu has to destroy, but he can't manage it alone, so mari will help him. they manage to destroy the angel, but after the fight, mari is nowhere to be found.

in the second half of the film, Asuka recovers and the nerv personal gets released. mari infiltrates NERV HQ to fulfill her order, but Kaiji is there too... They talk some interesting stuff, when suddenly another angel attacks. Now, Kaworu, Asuka (in Unit 7) and Mari join forces to fight against the angel, and the newly awakened Shinji joines forces to defeat the angel.

ritsuko calls Shinji over and lifts secrets concerning all the children. and thus, the film ends. :)

my hope is, some shocking revelations, which have never before been seen AND gorgeous action sequences.

oh, and forgive my bad english. i would really appreciate it, if anybody could inform me about mistakes.

I really wouldn't hold out much hope for Asuka having a grand role in the finale. Most likely she'll return & have one epic triumphant action sequence a.la. End of Evangelion- only this time she'll walk away from it all alive & a pure BA.

But the core events of the film will circle around Shinji & Rei with possibly Kaworu playing an equal part. Film 1 ended with Rei saving Shinji. Film 2 ended with Shinji saving Rei. Would not be surprised for a co-joint effort in 3.0.

Of course it will all end with Rei giving herself up to save the universe or something a.la. Nono in Diebuster. Promise.

My hope is that Shinji and Rei chill out in the Eva for much of 3.0. There's so many characters in Rebuild who are insufficiently developed at this point that there needs to be an expenditure of time to address that.

How can any of us make a judgment like that? What do you base that on?

I would almost bank on the alternative due to the amount of grief that's been generated as a result of Asuka's rough treatment in 2.0.

You can only fit so many angels in a a film (2.0 had too many). I think Kaworu should be enough. The rest of the screen-time should be focused on character development, Lilith/Adam and SEELE.

Sadly, they can't do that without retconning 1.11. Which they're unlikely to do. Gendo or Fuyutsuki says there's eight Angels left, possibly including Ramiel, possibly not. Kaworu included, that leaves either one or two more Angels who will attack Nerv. It will probably be pretty minor, though.

Problem. We have two additional Angels other than Kaworu. They need to be taken care of. Besides, it wouldn't be a Quickening without making things quick (pun intended).

Gendo in 1.0 implied there's going to be at least 2 to 3 more Angels left (assuming that includes Kaworu), so 3.0 and 4.0 should have plenty of time for Angel battles along with character development.

Common sense? 3.0 is, in all likelihood, the final movie in a trilogy. Making Asuka the co-protagonist at this point would be like ending Return of the Jedi with a duel between the Emperor and Lando Calrissian.

He shuddered a bit, remembering the somewhat creepy level of detail Kaji had gone into, while rubbing a watermelon in a disturbingly sexual way.

Common sense would dictate that you can't know anything about the character dynamics of a movie that has only been shown in thirty-second preview form. Here's an idea: you concentrate heavily on two characters one film, then on a completely different set of characters next time. See Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films on how you might do that.

Um, no. First of all, LotR focuses on Frodo, Sam, and Aragorn almost the entire way through. There's other subplots, yes, but a person who watched FotR and TT could predict that RotK probably would not suddenly thrust Pippin and Merry into the spotlight for the main conflict, and sure enough; they're not. That only involves Frodo, Sam, and Gollum, and had been built up to from the beginning of the first movie.

Second of all, I don't need a second of all. You're just wrong.
