Reichu wrote:Looks like a fan reworking of scenes from 1.0 to me. It's mostly the Operation Yashima section, with Eva-01 and Eva-00 replaced by a solo Eva-04 (commanded by a levitating Kaworu, as per Eva-02 in #24).

It's indeed set in the Rebuild universe. You can tell due to the redesign of the EVA-04 to make it consistent with the movie designs. The shoulder armor plates are shortened, there's a black band around the unit's waist, and the muzzle and chin pieces have been repainted black. EVA-04's head was a solid shade of silver / gray on the original TV lineart.

In other words, it takes place in an AU of an AU.

The ESV is replaced by the transparent shield, an accessory that came with the Kaiyodo action figure (and possibly other versions, I dunno):

It's actually supposed to be a high-tech take on a police riot shield. In additional to being different colors of the same armor mold, EVA-03 and EVA-04 also have the same equipment roll-outs: The riot shield, tonfa-style nightsticks, and an MP5. It makes sense when you consider that they were American-designed in the series, and the Asian-designed EVAs lug around katanas and giant plasma cannons and the like. They're basically the Evangelion version of Patlabors.

This question has been bothering me for a while now. Does anyone know the name of the insert song that plays while Kaworu is kicking Remiel's ass, and who's singing it? It's driving me bonkers because I like it, and keep playing those 30 seconds over and over.

I found the single on BT after I saw the post about it from a few months ago. Awesome song, btw. The general J-Pop format makes me think of a modernized version of Cruel Angel's Thesis or Soul Refrain. Too bad the it's not used a faux anime opening in the Rebuild movies.

I especially like the little Kingdom of Heaven-ish lead-in.

What a beautiful song but I rather it just be the beginning part the whole way though. Sounds..Death Note-ish I guess.

Weird transliteration, more like. The particle "e" is written with the katakana "he", and even though it isn't pronounced that way some people still decide to write "he" for the romaji...

Anyway, stop your pirate jabber! You're making us look bad! ARRRRRR!

I'm going to smack myself (hell, I do it right now :duhme: ) for asking this, but what's the name of the song first heard here?

Different question: does anybody have that Kaworu/Eva-04 vs Ramiel video sequence as a file other than crappy flv? Or does anybody know whether it has ever been released in some form, like a special DVD in Japan? When you check out the video clips on Youtube, all of them have those crappy exterior things of the Pachinko machine in the way, except for one (the one which starts with two sequences of Eva-01 fighting Ramiel - is it okay to post the link here or does this go against some copyright rules?).

Unfortunately the audio is off-sync in the beginning and only gets better towards the end of the clip. But the overall quality is so-so only.
Anyhow, can someone help me? I really want that cool sequence (Kaworu/Eva-04 vs Ramiel) in better/good quality.

I have this magazine i got in Japan. I wasn't sure what it was, i just bought it because it had kaworu on the cover. But i'm pretty sure it's detailing the different storylines in evangelion pachinko. I can't read Japanese but does anybody want me to scan it... unless all the info is already out there. If so does anybody wanna direct me to it so i can make sense of this mag lol
What if I don't want to live in the real world?
