That's a hilarious/awesome theory. Don't think it quite works, because Fuyutuski refers to him. Gendo puts a spotlight on him too. Mari knows about him, I guess? That'd be a shame though.

I find it hard to believe that the 'aesthetic' choices match these parts from the bible so well. It seems too convenient more than once for it to be there by accident. While I do think it's a bit of a stretch, some of those fit extremely well, and I doubt that was by chance.
