Eva 3.0 (Q) Trailers Thread (PRE-11/17 ONLY)

I think that Eva Unit 07 is still possible, but I think that the reason that they chose to highlight Unit 08 is because it will either play a larger role than others or has something significant to its design, or both. The first preview said the "quickening" of Unit 08 (and it's pilot) which can mean various things from the eva's awakening as a new life form machine to something taking place inside the eva. We don't know whether Unit 08 is going to be an antagonist or not.

My guess, based on plot analysis and characters, is that Unit 07 (which I believe to exist for this reason) will be piloted by Mari. I say this because it wasn't even alluded to so it's probably not as important, and Mari being a character helping from the shadows seems to fit that role of piloting that kinda of eva.

Unit 08 will have one of 2 possible roles. First, Unit 08 is piloted by an unrevealed (as of now) pilot and play an antagonistic role against Eva Team. The other possibility is that Rei will be the designated pilot for Unit 08 as Rei III since she will revert back to her original personality, since Seele would probably find that an appealing way to have more control over the Eva. My take on that is that, like previous Rei III, she will regain her memories and side with Shinji.

My reasoning for these speculations is because of things shown in teh newer previews. Asuka will still pilot Unit 02, Kaworu has Mark 6, and of course Unit 01 is still needed and Shinji is only one to pilot it.

I have a feeling that the Key of Nebuchadnezzar might have something to do with the conspicuously absent Unit-07. Kaji described the KoN as the "lost number, kept as a backup". The link might be iffy at best, but it's the only lead I see so far.

Yeah I saw this, (I'm using google translate as well) I'm not entirely sure what to make of it.

It talks about some kind of notice so whether or not its an actual screening is still unconfirmed.

According to khara's twitter feed, on the first of November, they're going to give a list of more theatres that will screen Q (on Novemeber 17th).

The 5 letters "劇場版予告" means a theatrical trailer. It sounds like there will be a new trailer and that's not an advanced screening..

劇場版 = theatrical version
予告 = preview or (advance)notice, but in this case, a trailer. This is where Google translator messed up.

If it's a trailer maybe they're putting out a new 90 second 'Beautiful World' trailer. I think the previous two films had their official theatrical trailer only hit a mere few weeks before release.

It's an announcement for a new trailer, yep. Which, if it'll be screened at cinemas (sounds like the case), it'll take a few days for them to post on the official site or fans and online uploading.

I'm excited. I hope this means it will be a Beautiful World or Fly Me To The Moon trailer.
