I did that as well. Freudian mental slip I guess.

I'm reading the Dune series now, and I think I would enjoy a Eva sequel that has Shinji fused with Eva 01 as a God Emperor of a wasteland of Earth 3500 years after the end of Rebuild.

That kind of makes sense if you think about it. It started as his vision, that no one really understands, but when it comes down to the 11th hour to see his vision fulfilled, he backs out due to love for his wife. His son continues where he himself could not go.

No. Eva needs to steer clear of apocalipsis for once. I see it more as, angels and instrumentality are stopped.

Then the dimension police (read: TSAB) barges in and demands answers. Shinji promptly answers on behalf of humanity, by throwing the SoL at their ship.

Not disappointed. Kinda expected something like this. I think it's still too early for anything significant regarding Final to be coming out now. I'd say if anything we might get the movie's title at New Year's. Of course that is if Final came out in 2014 which seems highly unlikely.
