[Music] Lady Gaga (Question)

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

There's nothing wrong with you if you like her music, that just means you have some bad taste in music, which is normal in this world ruled by MTV.

I don't really think that she's all worth the hype

all she is doing is retreading areas David Bowie & Marilyn Manson previously (& by default, far superiorly) explored

I never really listened to her music, but all this hoopla about how "weird" she is just comes across as fluff to me

now, if you want a weird musician, just google "Genesis P-Orridge" ;)

Fixed.

Anyway, I split the OT shit into the music discussion thread where it belongs. This is Lady Gaga thread. Dumbasses...

The answer to your question, EM, is "no".

I, myself, must say I like Her Eccentricness. She's a complete weirdo. I love it. I hear she's not as wacky as her stage persona makes her seem, though. Still...

Eccentricness seems too forced now. it's become a popular personality and so people are trying too hard to act eccentric because people still see it as 'weird' and 'different' even though it's everywhere now. well, i see it everywhere

Have no idea, don't even know lady gaga. Haven't been listening to new music, the radio or even the tv for ages. The last thing I heard was Kita Sakaba by Hosokawa Takashi, because I'm a weaboo. That's all.

Fixed.

Most of her songs sound like her other songs. "Poker Face" simply sounded like "Just Dance" put in a minor key. I can't pick her music out of a crowd of other modern music artists.

Music in general kinda annoys me right now. Every electronic/rap music artist sounds like their merely copy+pasting each other's "beats". (And if their not, they might as well.) Sex sells, but at this rate it's starting to hurt. Everything that was fun about this music genre in the beginning of the decade is all washed out now. And if you don't wear bling then you must be country. I don't completely write off music genres, but those two mainstream music genres have been wrung out for all their worth almost a decade ago.

I think she's a nice introduction to, say, Pink. She records well (working in the limited idiom that she does), and as pop phenomena there's a little more substance (though less variety) to her than Spice Girls.

I guess she's got a good beat and you can dance to her.

Live she really is more presence than chanteuse.

I think she looks better that way; we can't see her face.

I got to admit that was pretty impressive. Though, I'm not sure what the hell happened at 2:11.

You can't deny she actually has talent. Girl has some pipes and isn't too shabby on the ivory. I love her because she knows exactly how to run the game and she does it with full confidence. She craved fame, she dedicated herself fully, she succeeded in becoming one of the biggest pop stars of this decade. Plus, who of us really has the balls to dress in plastic bubbles? Her music is really nothing to get your panties in a bunch over, but I think her shtick is that she is truly an entertainer.
In the sunlit garden, hand in hand, we drew close and soothed each other with the words, "Neither of us will ever fall in love again."

All the idiots on this forum do is groupthink and bitch about Twilight or Lady Gaga or Naruto or some other thing that's popular and continue to sound like idiots, trumpeting what 9001 other people have already said until we get pages and pages of retarded spam damming up the forum. You'll learn soon enough.
