Damn, I liked what I had heard from him(only listened to 5 albums).

Well, goodbye Lou.

^Couldn't happen anyway. Sterling Morrison's been dead for more than fifteen years.

I feel the same. Sucks he's dead, but all of his worthwhile contributions to music came out decades ago, at this point.

I've heard good things about 2004's Animal Serenade.

But anyway, yeah. Talk about ending one of the most influential and legendary singer-songwriter careers in music with something like...that. Just depressing.

Some timing... I was reading up on Vaclav Havel while on research, and Reed was associated with the playwright due to the PPU (Plastic People of the Universe) and was a fan of Velvet.

Sad to see him go.

Rest in peace, Lou Reed. Have a perfect day.

I know this probably means nothing to any of you, but last night one of Israel's music legends, Arik Einstein, died at the age of 74 of an aneurysm. He was one of my favorite singers of all time (and possibly the only Israeli one to rival the other great music legends), and while I usually don't take celebrity deaths (or any deaths, really) personally, this one kind of got to me.

Even though I don't think anyone here speaks any Hebrew, I leave you with one of my favorite songs.
RIP, Arik.

I haven't seen any of these movies, but this is sad: http://www.tmz.com/2013/11/30/paul-walker-dead-dies-car-accident-fatal-fire-crash/

RIP.

EDIT: Apparently this might be a hoax. Someone's gonna have to do some serious apologizing if that's the case.

His reps are all confirming it.

He's gone. :sniffle:
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Damn, bro. Thanks for the memories.
