Probably, but we need a phrase with a universal appeal. Only someone who's marrying a woman or a dog is marrying a bitch, unless the word is being used in a less gender-specific, egalitarian context. Also, some people don't marry, and they're on average less happy and more likely to call life itself a bitch.

There's different variations that basically express the same meaning. I've heard both of those and prefer the prior.
