I'm back.

You may have noticed I was gone for 2 weeks. That is because I was busy in my first archaeological excavation. To make a very long story short, despite the ridiculous hot weather I had an amazing time(finding a few pretty arrow heads helped) and next Summer I'll be doing another one.
I'm still a long way from being a professional archaeologist but this is a good first step.

Welp, back home after a lot of driving and getting a tad sunburned to go to the 3rd annual FHC Skyfair.

Pacific theater theme this year, which was fantastic. 2 A6M3's, 2 F6F's, 1 F4F, 1 SBD, 1 P-40, 1 B-25, 1 P-47, and 1 Ki-43. Even got some simulated dogfights as well as all of them flying at once which was truly spectacular.

Can't forget seeing some Vietnam era helos either, or getting to see their Hetzer showing off finally after so many visits.

Also, I stood within mere feet of Microsoft co-founder and owner of the Museum and its pieces, Mr Paul Allen. Totally dumbstruck I was. He was dressed nicely, but blended in well, but his entourage helped give him away, plus he turned around and looked right at me before continuing on to his private viewing box they set up for him, which is when I knew 100% that it was him.

I've been pretty sad about having to cancel my move to Japan and things have been rough ever since. However, I had a coworker tell me "Oh, hey you like Japan right? My Buddhist temple is celebrating Obon this weekend if you want to come." I went and it was amazing. They tied me up in a yukata, taught me a few simple traditional dances and we all danced while people played taiko drums. It's been a really hard time the past few months and that just made me so happy to get a taste of Japan again.

Well, another sun burn suffered today but got to see the Breitling Jet Team perform as part of their first ever North American tour.

Fantastic show they put on. My goal to eventually own a Breitling watch is unwavering, as if there was even any question.

(Seriously though, these guys are the best, non military stunt team I've ever seen.)

Nothing to note to report, but just wanna say that 2016 has been a vastly better year then 2015 so far. Extremely fast tho, apparently its now already been exactly a year from when my grandfather was put on hospice.

I got to tell a DEA agent the other day that I will need to check his bag or he doesn't get inside the other day. He wasn't on an official business and was just visiting. How often do ya get to do that to a federal agent? Tried flashing his badge/ID saying he gets to be waived through. Not on this property. He should have left the bag at home if he "is not supposed to let anyone touch/see the bag."
