I echo this sentiment. May your problems be resolved swiftly, Chuckman.

eeeehh yeah, and perhaps accidentally injure myself (or her) in a severe manner during a hysterical situation. Right. Also, it's not like she'd let me have it....
Besides, I smacked her.

So the person we hired (at work) to do some programming for us seems to have made a bit of a mess. Four major bugs in 10 small programs, two of which mean the results produced by those programs are wrong and/or incomplete. The guy who was supposed to supervise them apparently didn't do so actively, because if he had, I wouldn't have encountered horrible, obvious beginner's errors in the programs (making me wonder what the FUCK the school the programmer went to teaches their students - apparently not proper commenting, proofreading, or meaningful variable names ). I only discover this in the last seven days, after getting fed up with waiting for the person who was supposed to look after the programmer finishes his part of the work, close to two months after the programmer left the building (it was a temporary position).
Well, at least I will be able to task the so-called 'supervisor' with fixing the problems , since I'm not an expert at the programming language used.

I think my 360 and my DVD player are both dying, or nearly there.
Also, cranking up my old box set of the EVA series and I never noticed how horrible the frame jumps are. For some reason I never noticed them in the past but now it's like stabbing my eyes with spoons.
So I guess I'll have to look into replacing that too.

I would prefer a DVD rip to back them up to any storage device so that the discs and the player don't get worn out.

*sighs* Yet another fansite posted on my Facebook newsfeed from an acquaintance I barely met claiming the Marcoses would save the country again. It's like saying that Ceausescu made Romania great. Or Hitler. Fuck all that shit, I'd better defriend him... Martial Law is still too fresh in my mind.
To be fair this 360 is 2nd hand, and I got it in 2008-9 and it's still running. Everyone else I know had replaced their 360 at least once, some of them 4 times in that time. I have no idea why this one even still works but it does. It's making wheezing sounds though.
I had to replace my PS3 recently and it died literally the same day as a friend's PS3 did, got them both around the same time. Maybe some of this stuff is programmed to die.

I can't stand stupid people behind the wheel. Sorry to hear that. :(
SSD and r1ce I had gotten a betta for my wife when we were still dating, she named it Tinkerbell even though it was male. It lived for a little over 4 years. When me and my wife moved to our own apartment, we were there for about a month when he died. We were saddened and it affected us more than i thought it would. We thought maybe it was because of the move, but after some quick research we learnt that they have a short life span.

Apparently he had trouble with his family. So he decided to go with 100 km/h through the main pedestrian area. One kid and a couple died, more than 30 are injured, partly severely so. He almost hit the mayor too, but he was able to evade the attack.
Strange to see something like that happen in my hometown.
Basically it was a rampage.

^ That's crazy. That's quite a bit of people overall, was there some sort of event going on?
I honestly didn't know there were so many types of betta, this is the closest picture I could find that matches my memory of him, maybe with a little more red though.

When I run fuckers down with a tank in GoldenEye, it's hilarious.
When something like it actually happens IRL, it's fucking terrible.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

So these infuriating "Progressive" (and by that I mean CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE NEED MO' MONEY FO' DEM PROGRAMZ bullshit) petition groups keep bombarding me with emails. I've gotten no less than 3 emails asking me to sign a petition to remove the Confederate flag and more newsletters about "muh white privilege" than I can shake a stick at.
FUCK OFF.
FUCK OFF.

While I wholeheartedly support the removal of the closest thing to a swastika flag that the US has, I think that badgering people into supporting petitions qualifies as harassment.

While I don't agree with comparing the Confederate battle flag to the Nazis' swastika, I'd think flying that flag would bring back bad memories more than anything else. "Hey, remember that time when General Sherman marched through our state and laid waste to everything in his path? Man, wouldn't it be great to go back to those times?" I also find that when I get emails from organizations like that, it's generally because I've not been careful with who has my email address (and even when I get those emails, I promptly unsubscribe.)
