Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Seems Japanese 103 is not being offered this fall, only in summer quarter. Thing is do I just not take it this summer and hope I don't forget everything and wait for it to be offered next spring

That sucks, man. I went through something similar with German classes in college, though I'm sure Japanese is a bit more difficult. I took a year off, and I picked up everything pretty quickly when I got back, but I still felt like the odd man out. I'm not sure what the size of your university is, but mine only offered one or two German 101/102 classes, so all of the kids knew each other for months and knew the teacher well. Luckily though, about midway through 104 I caught up and was on a similar level with everyone else.

I guess I recommend that if you do take the summer off(my best friend took summer classes and it was painful to watch) you could always just watch a decent amount of anime and Perfume :kawaii: videos so that you're still exposed to it and hope it works out. Goood luck.

So the pixiv smartphone site is showing a mix of Japanese and English and I don't know how to fix it.

Somebody please help me fix this. -o-;

My school is pretty big. Last count I believe we had right around 16,000 or 17,000 students total, but even so the Japanese program is pretty tight nit since it's not nearly as popular as German or French is, so having pretty much the same people in class going through each level is really common. About half of my class is made up of people from my 101 class haha.

I think what I'm going to do at this point after thinking on it is just take the summer off and go over all of my notes and material ever once in awhile to help in not forgetting too much, also watching Anime will help immensely too haha. I hear you on summer classes though. Everyone I have talked to that has taken them has told me they are a nightmare.

What school do you go to? I'm currently doing research on Japanese programs, so if you like yours it might be good to know about.

Well, currently I'm in a transfer program, so basically I'm doing all of my prerequisites at the Junior/Community college (Clark College) here where I live before I transfer over to Washington State University's satellite campus they have here. We have a great Japanese program IMO which offers classes up to 108 for language as well as studies in culture, history, etc. Basically if I wanted to (and I'm really thinking about it) I can complete the entire program and earn a certificate in Japanese studies, which is highly promoted by WSU for Engineering students to get.

EDIT: That would be East Asian studies for the College of Engineering and Architecture. (CEA) A select few actually get to go to Japan for either continuing studies or as a job opportunity. It's a cool opportunity and one which I'm very much interesting in finding out more about, but I won't hold my breath if I do go that route that when the time comes that I don't get chosen/hired. I imagine it's super competitive.

I know my Sensei has also plugged Portland State University's Japanese program also. From what she has said they offer quite an excellent program there as well. I like to attribute the reason why the programs are so good to our strong ties with Japan in the area. Heck, last month the College president got an award from the Japanese consulate general. We are sister cites with Kyoto and Joyo and Portland, Oregon's (About 10 mins from us.) Japanese sister city is Sapporo.

Anyways, I don't know why but I'm constantly tired these days. I get plenty of sleep each night but I just feel like I have not slept at all through out the day. I'm hoping it's all due to just getting over a bit of a cold. Hopefully next weekends camping trip will allow me to recuperate a bit.

Sure it will. You're still at the age where you're learning the differences and boundaries between friendship and relationship. I had a girlfriend when I was your age and honestly there wasn't much of a difference.*

^ But the crazy ones can also be the ones that are the most interesting in bed. This isn't first-hand knowledge, by the way: it's only what I've heard based on others' accounts. I'd personally rather not fuck a crazy girl and never have...just for the sake of keeping everything on me working and intact.

But yeah, heavy, I second Chuck in saying that this is a situation best avoided.
