Given that this is a forum dedicated to the discussion of an anime about depressed and occasionally suicidal teens, I hope you get what I'm saying when I say "Don't be like Shinji!" And don't go taking permanent fixes to what are temporary troubles.

Today I was reminded yet again why I hate living in the conservative countryside. Nothing but childish jokes about the presidential election. The older generation is panicking over how Finland is in a "crisis" because we have an openly homosexual candidate in the second round. Grow up, people! Sexuality has nothing to do with how someone can do his job and it doesn't change his worth as a human being. And besides, wouldn't it be magnificent to have a president with fresh values, extensive diplomatic experience and genuine courage? What are they afraid of? Paranoia is running rampant with those people, especially as far as health and sanitation is concerned. Heck, even my 2-year-old niece is being taught to avoid contact with any insects. If I try to counter their arguments, they'll think I'm wrong.

On 12/28 I ordered Gurren Lagann, Eva 1.11/2.22, Abenobashi and Mushi-shi. Only Mushi-shi arrived remotely on time, the rest were put onto indefinite back order. After waiting for nearly a month, the rest finally arrived at my house today. Guess what? Except for Mushi-shi, they're all bootlegs.
