Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
Not really a particular song, so to speak, but I've been unironically enjoying a lot of vaporwave recently.
For something that's supposedly a meme/dead genre...I don't know, I'm really digging it. I just end up feeling relaxed to the point that my spine might as well just slide right out of me. Seems like the perfect thing to counteract the entirety of 2020.

Made a funny and loud memory listening to Mushroomhead's new album A Wonderful Life on full blast at around midnight , all the songs are bombastic and more identifiable than most of their category on their previous two albums.

I adore Vaporwave... My favorite album might be Blank Banshee's 0... what's yours?

Vaporwave is good, yeah. I don't really actively listen to it, but when I've got just some stuff to do, having a vaporwave remix of some or another soundtrack playing in the background is really good

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
^^ I don't know most the specific artists/albums, I've mainly just been listening to various compilations via YouTube. But the few individual (read: outside of collections) ones I've heard have been Zeldawave, Zeldawave II, Floral Shoppe by Macintosh Plus and Ecojams Vol.1 by Chuck Person.
And yeah, it is best used as background music to doing almost anything else. Not focusing on it directly kinda adds to its hazy, half-remembered-dream feel.

Yes! I do this so much XD. Usually when im doing some work for school, and i get stressed, i put on the song Cradles by Sea Urban, it calms me down even though its a decently worrying song, like one Shinji would listen to lol.

Received the No Tourists album from The Prodigy on CD today and I am totally in love with the first track "Need Some1". Also the shortest track clocking at 2 minutes and 44 seconds.

The new Gorillaz Album, Song Machine is just amazing. The singles were great already, glad seeing them doing a comeback after the messy Humanz and the lifeless The Now Now.

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
A Youtuber I follow has recently started doing a Podcast about Marillion, it's him and his wife going thorugh each album track by track and it's fantastic. Also managed to score tickets to go and see them live next November
At the moment they've just finished coveing Misplaced Childhood so I've been listening to that. Such an amazing album, truly feels like the band properly matured here both musically and lyrically.

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
Do you think when the pandemic clears up that Gorillaz will renege on their 10 year wait of doing live venues and return at an earlier date? I haven't heard Song Machine yet but I agree that I didn't and probably never will like Humanz and The Now Now after listening to them both and finding myself unimpressed.

I'm not quite sure if I understand you correctly, since I've caught them in 2016 (or '17 not sure), in Vienna when they did their huge year-lasting world tour. Either way, I've got the Circle of Friends badge for ordering the special edition and they've invited me to buy tickets for 2021. The flyer only has 4 dates in Europe tho, don't know if more are planed anywhere else.

I see. I had heard somewhere that Damon Albarn had said that Gorillaz might take a 10 year break from touring after the Now Now tour.

Ah, yes. So I did misunderstand you. Well, apparently there's at least a small tour happening!

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
After repeated recent listens, I can say that both Reise, Reise and Rosenrot by Rammstein seem kind of underrated/overlooked (I'll admit, my favorite's still Herzeleid). More specifically, the deeper album tracks like Dalai Lama, Moskau, Morgenstern, Stein um Stein, Spring, Wo bist du and Zerstören feels as good as any of either record's singles (though Ohne dich and Mann gegen Mann are standouts, too).

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
Been a long time since I listened to Rammstein - Reise Reise and Morgenstern certainly were some of my favorites as well. Nebel also comes to mind as an underrated piece. Seemann was always great, as well, and Nina Hagen did a nice cover of it.
I really need to listen more to music again. Recently, I never had the drive to put something on, even as background music.

Regret to say I got into DragonForce too damn late . At least it was a fine debut listening to Through the Fire and Flames song.
