Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Yeah, that's a really good set, and the one I actually found the Kalon mix of 'Violencia' on. Function's style is even more sparse and ghostly than that of his contemporaries and it really shines through in his selection here.

Scope out the Sandwell District live at Dommune, Japan set as well. Really good and varied collection of deep and dub techno from mostly outside of the label. I'm totally enamoured with all this stuff right now.

Found these two on SoundCloud the other day:

nanidato - Doki Doki no Disco
Lordsun1 - Towa ni With You Babe

So Japanese Disco is a thing. A very good thing.

Also, this: Singularity - Drowning

I was listening to her song about Death Note when I saw you post this.

It sounds like it could've been lifted right out of the late-70s, but kind of modern and timeless as well.

Yeah, it definitely has a 70s vibe. Also it caters to my stereotypes of Los Angeles... or more like to a nostalgia for an Americana long gone. Kinda what Lana Del Rey is trying to evoke. Every time the guitar makes her swooning soundto accentuate the end of an extolled phrase in the verse, I feel like a wave of chill is washing over me. At the same time, it has that funky 80-synth going on. Cocaine filled nightmares turning into a smooth slumber. Pure catharsis also oozes from the choir-vocals which grip my hand like a very good friend, taking me upwards like a wave of water. And the overall very rigid pop-structure lends my brain a save haven from where I can start my journey into aural bliss.

Overall a very well crafted little song. Pure emotion. Beach House comes to mind.

Hey, also... I don't know, if you've noticed it, but I think you might like LLLL. Look up their album Paradice.

YMO - 1000 Knives

I've been enjoying listening to YMO recently, I like the old electronic noise.

Been sculpting some Biohazard characters lately so I've got the classic Biohazard/Resident Evil OSTs on for effect.

Me and my boss adopted this as our theme song at work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGBLlFMn9Xc

We were rockin' to it on Friday during our weekly sound check. Only issue, temporary hearing loss from running our SPL at over 100db  (Saw it peak at about 113 at one point, we have quite the powerful audio system if we wish to push it a bit and it never distorts either. Normally it never gets near that loud however)
