lol Toyota. Also Vocaloids

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

That's the most enthusiastic crowd I've seen at AX. And much fuller than when I saw Shokotan there a few years ago. Most people over here don't seem to be as fully engaged in the Japanese rhythmic lightstick cult, which makes the audience seem a little more staid.

Are they advertising bacon wrapped hot dogs or cars??

I don't know, but I'm losing my taste for both from that commercial...

What shame? Miku is just a program to be used by man. She's just doing what she's programmed to do. To be of use to humans.
NGE was a damned good anime
EoE was an anime masterpiece
And Rebuild is nothing short of epic
Long live the EVAs!!

It is the same video that fireball posted here back on July 7th, isn't it? Or it is something different?

Heck of a lot kinder coverage than the media usually gives.

Considering the way "sudoku" became "sodoko" in the US, can't really be bothered by their attempts. It's not terrible.

^ There's that.
Also, here's some more coverage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvFCaYNBlKY&feature=related pronunciation is better in this one. (I loled at the yoshi.)

She's just sixteen years old, we're told, and no, not exactly the girl next door. At least, not for most of us.
For some reason, this line made me laugh. Maybe it's the "I kind of wish she was, though" inflection in the reporter's voice.

If the girl next door loves cosplay, she could easily become one, particularly if she pays attention to the make-up. I took him to mean that you don't easily have a cosplayer living next door to you

"The girl next door" is an expression in (American?) English to indicate a girl who has a sort of wholesome, young, attractive image. Someone you'd remember from growing up. So... probably not six feet tall with giant eyes and teal hair, carrying a root vegetable.

^ That's true, though I have a tendency to take the words more literally. And I can entirely imagine Michelle Phan (the girl in the youtube link in my post) to be a girl next door and she transformed into a perfect Miku in the video.... And I bet she is not 6 feet tall either :) (point being that fans will still accept Miku as Miku even if she is not 6 feet tall on stage)

There is that... wouldn't mind living next door to Michelle Phan.

Actually, what made me chuckle in the video was that cosplayer correcting the reporter's "blue hair" to teal.
