Gainax have had guest artists and flash stuff on the main page before, but that was certainly different. It is sorta cute actually.

A thought occurs. Was Gainax supposed to have 2 new anime after Panty and Stocking (one was based off some novel) or am I remembering wrong (P & S was was one of the new anime)? Maybe this has something to do with the other one, if so... Or, it's just a random guest artist thing. :shrug:

No; the other anime Gainax announced recently (not counting that Subaru Strike Witches thing) was an adaptation of the Dantalian no Shoka light novels.
