from the May 2005 newtype-- the magazine's having its 20th anniversary this year, and I believe this is a comment on the magazine by Anno.

His hand's movement reminds me more of Eva-01. And that's the strenth of NGE. No matter how often you look at it, you'll still never fully recognize all of the self-insertions! ( O.o)
