Bagheera, consensus is that the image isn't real. Or at least that seems to be the conclusion Monster Zero Forums and a few notable Tumblr users have come to. As BlueBasilisk said, it believed to be an edited image of one of the new figures.

I know what Blue said, but I want something more substantial than "a bunch of guys on a forum said so". Like, if we had a tweet from someone who actually made the image or something that would put it to bed. But in the absence of something like that I'm not seeing any reason to call BS on the image.

If Scified.com is be trusted Godzilla: Resurgence is 118 minutes long. Which would be pretty solid for a Godzilla & Hideaki Anno movie in my opinion.

^ An organ played in the soundtrack of The Terror of Mechagodzilla, during the flashback revealing the origins of the cyborg girl. But it was a small jazz or rock organ, not a full pipe organ.

Here's a good look at the Bandai Movie Monsters ShinG figure. Looks pretty neat! I ordered one thinking it might have a shorter tail than the other figures, but clearly there was some tricky perspective in the promo photos.

Someone made a gallery of 2016's Godzilla with it's eye edited with all the older versions.
Only now do I realize that Anno intentionally made the eye to look more like the 1954 version.

Holy shit. It's amazing how much that changes the overall feel of the design. I also find it interesting that I prefer all of those (apart from the 2001 version, which is the worst of the lot) to the choice Anno gave us. No doubt his intent!

It's funny I think the possessed blank white eyes of the 2001 design would have been absolutely perfect for this charred zombie like incarnation of Godzilla.
