I don't think I'll ever get used to those spindly little arms. I mean, I get that it's deliberate -- between the eyes, the ridiculously long tail, and the arms it's clear this Godzilla is meant to come across as a warped mockery of nature vs. as the sexy beast we've been used to forever -- but that doesn't make seeing him onscreen any less painful.

All the fenestration in the skull makes me think "theropod". Whale skulls are low and flat, since most of the fleshy profile comes from the melon, which is their main echolocation organ. Though a whale would have been funny ("Gorilla-Whale" and all).

Love the tone.
Love them appearing to use lots of footage of real tanks/artillery which they haven't done much sense Godzilla 2000.
Love the cinematography.
Absolutely love the tail.
Like the music a lot.
Like the design, eyes are not as noticeable as I feared.
Body is very stiff almost statue like in the frontal full body shots. The overly small arms magnify this stiffness.
Side or behind shots fare better.
Close ups of face are good.
Opening shot of him roaring is a bit puppet like and the roar is weak & doesn't feel like it is coming from his throat but the mouth & teeth look good.
All the actors looks good and serious and aren't making any silly outlandish expressions like I feared.

I have no experience watching foreign movies in theaters (Japanese movies in general) can anyone here elaborate what usually occurs when theaters-US screen foreign films.
