God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

I used the 'Jump to' dropdown, but it's not a big deal that it's gone. As a note, it hasn't been cut from the 'View Forum' or the 'Add Reply' pages.

Things that I think can be cut:
I don't think that the 'View Previous Topic' and 'View Next Topic' get used much, nor the 'Display posts from previous' at the bottom of the page along with some other useless stuff down there.

Like I said before, I'm been attempting to make intelligent discussions in THAT BOARD due to my EMF withdrawal, with some success.

As long as we can still view that info by clicking people's profiles, I'm happy.

Eva Monkey wrote:Top of page link from each post.

Are you talking about the little paper icon next to "posted" you can click on with each person's post--to view that as the top page of the thread? (Hope that made some sense.) Because that's something I personally use...Very handy when using links to posts and all.

Otherwise I have no complaints. Good job so far! ^_^

Considering I have yet to re-download AIM and Yahell after my computer crash I don't really mind that those links got taken off the main posts. I miss the location stuff but that is a minor that that I can easily get over.

Personally I think whatever you need to do to keep this board up and running is fine with me.

No; she's just busy trying to figure out what to do with her new FGC manpower.

Someone doesn't want to be hotlinked, looks like.

As for whatever I'm supposedly doing, it's a whole lot of no fun.

Random question time!

Could somebody fix the clock? It's one hour behind. I guess it did not properly "sync up" with DST.

I'll try to mess with my profile to "get it right".

And with this post, I enter forum elderhood. W00t.

It says at the bottom "All times are GMT - 5 Hours" which would make it strictly EST, and not EDT (daylight savings). You could change your profile to be in the adjacent timezone to make the times show up right, I suppose.

Don't worry about that anymore. It's fixed! :D

And for the record, the forum is EST for no other reason than the fact that I live in that time zone. It seems really silly in the end, as we're all over the friggin globe.

I suspect this is probably from OMF changing a few email settings on the forums. A wild guess would be I posted to a thread that someone has on their watchlist, thus prompting an email to be sent to the people that are watching the thread.

That must have been it. Turns out the smtp settings would not work because either evageeks.org does not have sendmail, or php was having trouble redirecting sendmail from one server to another. I think I've solved the issue by pointing directly at castro in the phpbb email settings.

GYABO!

OK, looks like you set it up to use SASL authentication so that should be fine. I see that SSD just got an email to her msn address so it looks like it's working as intended. Cheers.
