The dub has some great moments, but some of the "episode actors" (those that are only in for an episode) are so bad that I couldn't hardly stand to watch them. I give the edge to the dub in terms of the main cast, but the rest goes to the sub.

slothen wrote:And I'm 2 episodes from the end of Tehxnolyze. Its brilliant. And WTF. I've been watching it with my sister.
Yes... yes it is. Be prepared to watch it a 2nd time though. The end is a bit confusing, but utterly brilliant if you figure out what's actually going on (in the larger picture context). The final 2 episodes are probably my favorite final episodes of any series ever.

Damn I cried watching The Place Promised in Our Early Days... I wished Voices of a Distant Star would have been longer or as detailed as PPOED was. Excellent Movies

Started and finished Melancholy of Haruhi today and I have to say that it was extremely enjoyable. I'm also a bit depressed that it only has 14 episodes.

@Hunter -- why the " " for Yami-bou? Apart from the fact that the ending sucks, that is?

Wow. I was watching Death Note. There are to be 37 episodes total, and 35 was just fansubbed... but Viz gave cease and desist letters to all the fansubbers that were currently handling Death Note. TWO FREAKING EPISODES LEFT and they order them to stop now.

Now I'm probably going to have to wait months to see the finale when it's right there ahead of me.

I'm sure it will still get subbed, only perhaps not by the same group you've been watching.

I hope so, but there were three groups subbing it, and all of them were ordered to stop. Maybe another one will pop up, but... you know...

I'm guessing it was Viz's plan to wait until there were only a couple of episodes left so that people would have to buy the DVD to see the finale.

The problem is that we have to WAIT FOR THEM TO RELEASE ALL THE OTHER DVDS FIRST.

Your other option is to learn Japanese.

And Amaenaideyo wasn't? Well, I guess not so much the yuri part.

RE: Death Note stuff:
If a new group doesn't pick it up, you can always just download it from Viz for 2 bucks: http://www.direct2drive.com/145/4216/pr ... s-Download

They're only up to ep12, dunno how quickly these are released, subtitles only.

Or if you're really hard up, just download the raws and use the manga to figure out what's going on.
