That's not a simple castle - it's actually a fortified town (admittedly one that's now full of tourist traps). You can see the shadow of the eastern wall as a dark line about 500m long just below the N113 label in this view

One of these days I want to go over to Europe and visit old sites like that, most likely it will be the German Castles and that sort of stuff as I want to explore my ancestral heritage. Maybe I will go to southern Prussia and try to take back the land my family used to own over there in the late 1600’s. That way I can claim a castle of my own and play around in it all I like. :lol:
