Yeah, I think it is. Looks like they got all the official Eva hentai (1999-2003) and smacked in a hardcover book to make more money off fans.

Gainax has been making Eva hentai for a while. Nothing hardcore, nothing animated. Mostly tasteful from what I've seen.

On further inspection, the item in question is a Telephone Card Book. I don't know what exactly that means, but that's supposedly what it is.

I've seen these illustrations elsewhere as a calendar, they're not bad illustrations. But, yeah, it is a bit dissapointing to see Gainax making Eva hentai. I can deal with the echi stuff, but actual hentai is dissapointing to see. Just be glad it isn't hardcore.

I do agree that moving towards hentai type stuff does kind of discredit the characters. I mean, moving away from a really good piece of anime & then confusing it with smutt. Its kinda wrong. :x

I must say however that it is what you were kind of looking for in the anime but just didnt get to see it.

By the way...is eva like suppose to be everlasting. Its been 10 years down the line already & they still producing stuff? They should give us another 26 episodes in my opinion if they gonna keep Eva alive. They would have mor than enough to write about.

Give me some good filler episodes with more character to character interrogation during the anime... That would kick ass, if Anno directed/wrote it and it would fit well into it... I can live without it though. :)

Gatta say I hope they never make any new eva things unless its by anno himself. I base this on my experiance with ghost in the shell, great movies but the series had a differnt director, and this director was a huge fan boy which just takes away from the story and opinions of the original director.

is everyone choosing to forget the prequel? i know it's just a rumour, but as was said "gainax must want more money" too convenient to let it pass undone. if they've resorted to hentai, i'm sure they wouldn't mind.

My gut tells me that the prequle will either not happin or not happin with anno.
