New UCC Canned Coffee design and figures [SPOILERS]

Seems that these are meant to commemorate the release of 2.22 on DVD/Blu-Ray and will be out April 27th.

Personally I find it hilarious Asuka's "slut-suit" is going to be on one of the can covers considering how much people find it groan-worthy save for the fanservice.

The figures themselves seem pretty nice at least.

Thanks for posting these Sailor Star Dust. LOL. Yes i agree. These figures do look nice. But yeah....i mean what a blatant fit of advertising for UCC lol. But it would be pretty cool to have i guess. Too bad they arent larger than 5-6 inches though....

I'm kinda glad the figures aren't to elaborate and big. If I'm spending a lot of money on an Eva girl figure, I'd rather her not holding a can of coffee.

The test plugsuit. I guess some fans find it too...revealing? Personally I don't mind one way or the other.

That's the joke/reference, yes.

Personally I don't mind the test-suit too much, though I can't help but find the concept of the design itself to be groan-worthy.

I've already got a lead on aquiring a set of those beauties. I still kick myself for missing the original set but so far I've been able to get all the rebuild cans.

one thing that baffles me is, how exactly will they refrigerate these things without potentially destroying the figures or the packaging?

LOL. They simply wont refrigerate them. Thats how! Remember, these are canned coffee drinks. Usually anything canned doesnt have to be kept cold. In fact, the last time i bought UCC coffee at my local supermarket, they kept all their UCC coffee on regular "unfridgerated" store shelves.

You could say the same for soup cans and Coke. Why not refrigerate all of those? lol.

Hmm....still on the fence on these ones. They are unique i guess. Maybe i should get all of them. LOL. they are relatively cheap too. Heh.

In Japan, they have heated sections in convenience stores where the cans go. They're sold as hot drinks (and in fact can be very hot when you receive them), not cold drinks. Same with vending machines; you can get hot drinks there too (I always loved getting canned hot chocolate in the mornings there). I'm not sure where they put the ones with the figures though.

Pictures were taken from an Eva-themed Lawson convenience store in Hakone, Japan.

I don't really drink coffee, so I'd like a can just to collect it.

I'd totally buy them for the figures for sure, but I probably wouldn't even drink the stuff.

I want me some Eva coffee, though I bet the stuff itself is gross; I'd buy it for the figure and can.
